I think that we should stay out of it and encourage them to come to a peaceful resolution. We certainly don't need to talk tough and "lecture" them. How would we like Russia to interfere if we had a situation with Mexico? How would feel feel about the possibility of Russian warships parked in a port in Mexico? In my opinion, this has everything to do with Ukraine and NATO as well as United States. The Russian navel base there is another issue as well. We should let them have their sphere of influence near their own country.

The situation is entirely different. With Georgia the Georgians said that the Russians were on the border and they were afraid they were going to be invaded. They asked for our help. In Ukraine, the Ukranians said the majority wanted a trade agreement with Russia and EU leaning liberals revolted then the Ukranians asked Russia for help.
