Why aren't the Bush Tax Cuts Working?

Bush tax cuts put money into your pocket, yet libs are pissed off over this

They are pissed because they dont see it as your money, they see it as governments money. They live in a vacuum, they think that government is the answer to all questions and the go to guy for everything, they do no understand how wealth is created, only that those with it are evil.

We have 14 trillion in debt, and rising. It's YOUR debt. If it isn't yours, whose is it?

They were extended 8 months ago, when Obama caved in to the GOP's demands.

Weren't they supposed to create jobs? Wasn't another 800 billion dollar's worth of budget busting supposed to be worth it,

for the jobs?

Obama didn't "cave in" to Republicans demands. Republicans held unemployment for millions of Americans hostage just before Christmas. Obama just couldn't stand to see millions of Americans suffer.

Republicans, on the other hand, don't give a shit. It's why they are fighting disaster relief to suffering Americans. Republicans have the rich to take care of. Only the rich aren't "taking care" back.

Unemployment benefits: not until Bush tax cuts pass, Senate GOP says - CSMonitor.com

why did the Repubs insist on that budget-killing idea. :eusa_eh: I thought they were for a balanced budget :eusa_whistle: and they just ripped an $800 billion hole in it :eusa_shhh:

Because simple minds like yours think that is the only element to job creation.

Gee, only every fucking wingnut on the Planet having told me cutting taxes is for job creation...

Is this the birth of a new revisionism? Tax cuts? Job creation? Huh?

so you dont think for yourself, is what you are saying.

Color me shocked.

Taxes are only one part of the equation. Add a few thousand more regulations and Im sure hiring will pick up.................... after repeal.

Right that's another part of the rightwing scam. Deregulate the country, turn it into a 19th century cesspool and the jobs will magically appear.

You were wrong about tax cuts, and you're wrong about that.

You guys are few slices short in the loaf.

First the tax cut for the rich was 700 billion over ten meaning 70 billion a year. That doesnt even put a dent in the deficit. Yet you guys managed additional social programs through the dot budget.

Youre just class warfare bitches nothing more.

Because cutting taxes is only spending if Democrats do it, according to the GOP.

You don't hear them refer to the 2009 stimulus as spending 500 billion do you? No. They say it was 787 billion.

288 billion of it was TAX CUTS. The GOP calls tax cuts 'spending' when it suits them.

You're really a little "slow" when it comes to economics, aren't you?

Getting rid of the Bush tax cuts would have made the jobs situation even worse than it is now. It's why the Democrats couldn't get enough votes to get rid of the tax cuts even when they controlled the House and the Senate. Too many moderate Dems understood that doing so would slow down the economy when it was already barely growing. That's why despite all the "posturing" about how he wanted to get rid of the Bush tax cuts, Obama has never done it.

Too bad for you Papa Obama
had to reign in the EPA from regulating the economy even more

Just think of all the jobs it would have created if he turned them loose

Heres those tax cuts. Much of it looks exactly like spending. Picking winners and losers.

It's the debt of those of us who work and pay taxes yes, but it's a debt that crooked politicians incurred for the rest of us to pay for nonetheless.

The OBAMA tax cuts aren't working because of the uncertainty that the anti-business Obama administration is fostering. And then we have the biggest fear factor of them all ....Obamacare. The 2000+ page behemoth monstrosity of a law that nobody understands or can explain say for certain how much it will cost employers.

And yet "poor sales" continues to lead the NFIB's survey of small businesses as the single most important problem they face.

Perhaps for the 15% that listed "government requirements and red tape" you're spot on. For the other 85% of small businesses, not so much.

70 billion a year isn't a 'dent' so it doesn't count? So there's no justification for doing anything that isn't bigger than a 'dent'?

So, conservatives want to get rid of the Department of Education, right? As a budget thing.

The 2011 budget for the DoE?

71 billion. Doesn't even put a dent in the deficit.

So we should collect the debt from the politicians who cut taxes while not cutting spending?

How would that work? What about the people who voted them into office?

Why aren't Kennedy tax cuts working?

Why aren't Coolidge tax cuts working?

Why aren't Reagan tax cuts working?

So we have to cut the income tax rates to 25% on down now, to get the economy moving?

And ten years from now, in the next big recession, we'll have to cut the top rate to 15% and lower...

and then to 5% and lower...

and then to zero...

all in order to keep the US economy alive?

That's mentally retarded.

NFIB ? oh the same group

that is against Papa ObamaCare

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)—the nation's largest small-business advocacy organization—has joined the ranks of twenty state attorneys general in a lawsuit attacking the constitutionality of President Obama's new healthcare law.

thanks for reminding me

But blaming bank ATMS and airport kiosks is smart, not like everyone says, like dumb! Obama's smart and he wants NYCarb's respect!

Just like

increased gov't spending and increased debt

funny how that works

So you tax cut death spiralers think we need even more tax cuts to survive.

Currently we have 47% of households paying no federal income taxes.

What will that number be after your next round of cuts? 57%?

and next time, we'll up to 77%, then 87%,

at that point all federal income tax will be paid by the richest 13% of Americans...

...and LIBERALS are the class warfare crowd?

lolol
