Because most of the youth today have given up on Biblical morality. Neither the male nor female values the traditional family anymore, because they were not brought up to value it.

As a result, you have a cycle of poverty that the world now seeks to get fixed through governmental assistance, when in reality, you can give them all the government assistance in the world, but it won't fix the poverty of a largely uneducated single mother. It provided just enough help in order for them to survive and promote the said behavoir indefinately.

You have 2 years to get off welfare....that's it. Then you better cough up a disability to continue on the public dollar. Meaning lose your legs, get fat and diabetic, or lose your mind on drugs....or go for all 3.

This isn't so much about single parenthood as it is about promoting universal basic income.....a really really bad idea.

Because it's been tried before and the results are the same as communism. Nobody does anything to work and be productive. Nobody even works at the grocery store so you can buy groceries.

We have a divorce system that favors women over men.
The wife seeking to be "ex" needs only make claims of abuse to be believed.
The husband(man) needs to prove he is innocent and/or the claims are false.
