(Biden was heavily involved) Nunan was basically an idiot and did not understand the first thing going on there. The CIA had been gutted and ignored just about anything even a blind man could see. The US government understood nothing and was happy not knowing what was transpiring. But then turned their back on the disaster when it all blew up in their faces because it was embarrassing and they had better issues to worry about.

Wake up, dude. The Russians have already mainly adjusted their economy to the sanctions, found new markets for their energy. It is not as though it all went so smooth for them as they like to boast, but nevertheless.

It may well be that the Western investors will get nothing from their property they lost in Russia. Or there will be some deal when Russia agrees to compensate for their virtually stolen businesses in exchange for some frozen funds in the West.

All I all, it seems that the current tactic to 'sit out' the Western support for Ukraine will bring fruits. They will not only keep the occupied lands, but will turn Ukraine into a grey zone or 'nobody's' land. Something like Georgia is now.

It's probably true that most Republicans are stupid enough to nominate an incarcerated convict, but the chancing of winning the election under those circumstances is ZERO.

Even if Trump isn't incarcerated, the chances of him winning the election is close to zero. He'll do far worse than he did in the 2020 election.

The weirdest thing about Trump supporters is that they believe that Trump is politically strong. The high point of his political career was winning(?) the 2016 election - he very barely won that even with Putin's help. It's all been downhill and getting steeper since then.

In order to build actual wealth (and its always fleeting) a nation needs to have access to cheap labor and a market to sell those goods made with cheap labor and Natural resources to.

War is very stupid expensive....where you destroy five million dollar machines by throwing expensive sports cars at it until its destroyed. Meanwhile you will kill or permanently disable a substantial portion of your cheap labor. Let's not forget that each shell the artillery fires is like $5-7,000 USD or more. (They ain't cheap either)

Nope...nobody can no matter who it is.

This is asymmetrical warfare. Russia's strengths are now it's weaknesses. It's big and bulky, slow to move anywhere and if it does move it telegraphs it's moves weeks and days ahead of time.
Ukraine is fast, and small units with complete autonomy to pick, poke, and harass Russians peacemeal until there aren't enough to defend a line. Completely demoralizing for Russian forces...Completely energizing for Ukraine.

And Ukraine has THE ENTIRE WORLD backing them. Meaning that Ukraine can keep this up much longer than Russia considering the manner this war is going. Putin doesn't have the political capitol to burn for this ongoing war...(supposed to be three days) Putin is starting to look for scapegoats already so he can begin his exit strategy. Today's trial balloon was the mathematicians. Let's see who else gets lit up next.
