If someone looted your bank accounts and stole your credit cards, would you not be outraged? If professional culprits knew you would be getting old and less sharp and took advantage of your age to steal your money should there not be some way to recover what is the sole livelihood of millions of Americans? Why is there no movement to replace trillions in Social Security funds that were swindled by US Congress? Why do so many people in the US just shrug their shoulders like it is ok for both parties in America to ignore the theft of a massive surplus of funds promised to guarantee at least a modest defense against the poverty of old age?

How many politicians in the US are championing this cause?

No one in the Democratic Party supports cutting Congressional pay to help replace the trillions taken from old poor people.

No one in the republican party supports doing anything at all. They've been sabotaging the program at every opportunity since it's inception. If it was entirely up to them the SS money would have been given to Wall Street years ago and you would be eating cat food and living in a cardboard box.

Old people are marked for extermination. Get used to it. Both Parties are all for that.

We've been "printing" money ... see how both parties enthusiastically vote for such measures ... Social Security is perfectly safe as long as we have printing presses ...

Because cutting spending across several boards is the solution neither party champions..

Congressional pay for 535 members is chicken feed compared to any funding amount. It's a little over $93 million per year.
