So much of the current political discussion in this Country is about violence in our communities. The event in Charlotte, Chicago, Washington, and many other major cities where violent crime is out of control. What is not being discussed, what is ignored, is race. In most of these cities black men are the overwhelming perpetrators of the violence.

Blacks are 12.5% of the U.S. Population and yet commit 54% of the violent crime according to the FBI. Violent crime is defined as rape, murder, aggravated assault, and armed robbery.

And let's be fair, it is not black women that are committing these crimes, it is mostly young black men. And let me be clear: Facts are not racist. Blacks have a massive problem with violence in their community, particularly black men.

It's all a matter of conflict resolution. When a civilized person has a difference of opinion, or feels insulted he will attempt to resolve the issue without violence. Maybe he just walks away.

Yes. Black women should not be lumped into the black crime problem. It is overwhelmingly young black men. The violence needs to be called out. No more excuses. There is a massive violence problem with young black men in this Country, and there has been for decades. Mostly, it is young black men killing other black men, or victimizing people within their own community. But whites take a big portion of the violence as well.

We all know this. The American People know this, but folks don't want to call it out for fear of being called racist. Well, after the murder in Charlotte, and all the crime and murder in Chicago, Washington, and many other major cities, I say to hell with that.

As a person that had to protect a big ol' black female friend from her crazy BF or ex-bf or whatever, I can attest to that. I will tell you why. You can believe it ot not, but it's true.

I saw the beginnings of this in the 80s with my clients. Rather than develop a viable defense, they expressed a belief that they had a right to commit that crime. I wasn't alone. Other lawyers had the same changes. Many black men felt that their ancestors paid for the right to commit crimes. Slavery, Jim Crow, 1950s style racism, they were owed.

It grew and developed into the toxicity we have today. If you look at the posts by blacks here, they are quick to justify black violence, many times as justice for past racism. That justice gave them certain rights others don't have.
