Why are all the countries with the most Coronavirus deaths per capita almost all first world countries?

Nine of the top 10 countries in terms of per capita Coronavirus deaths are in either North America or Europe. Why are third world countries not hit so hard?

Because they probably only report cases among their own upper classes, and the masses get infected, sick and die unnoticed.

My guess is that is has to do with reporting methods.

Or, first world countries got hit first due to mobility and trade and these others are playing catch-up on the timeline.

The answer is travel.

Whether it's planes, trains, subways, or city busses...Being packed in tight with others spreads the virus.

A little village in africa that nobody ever visits has virtually no chance of catching the rona.
