IMHO it’s quite simple. Their parents created peace and prosperity for their children (the boomers in the protests) that the world had never known.

They (for the most part) did not see there sons drafted into the .mil as many in the "greatest and silent generation" did.

These people have really never known hard times nor hard work as their parents did.

None walking the streets with their lame signs have lived in the streets. Few have missed a meal. Few have been oppressed.

They are weaker in spirit and love of country and believe the world should be an innocent happy place if we only spent more of other people's money.

They are not critical thinkers. They dismiss any evidence that does not support their philosophies, because there are no consequences for their views.

The bulk of them are old women with dead husbands that had provided for them in their waning years.....In other words they worked themselves to death for their benefit.

They live in a bubble of their own creation. They have no fear, because few shuffling about have ever known real violence on their doorsteps.

They are gullible and easy to manipulate, because they do not question anything in their information bubble. When challenged on facts, they respond with anger.

Actually, some may be pre-Boomers. My sister, born in 1939, is reveling in these protests(?), along with many of the residents of the "independent living" facility (very posh, by the way) where she lives.

My theory is that she still resents the fact that she was too old for the Vietnam war protests, so is getting it out of her system now.

The amazing thing about these mass protests - and you have to acknowledge that's what they were - is that I have seen nothing indicating exactly what they were supposed to be saying other than that they are very unhappy about losing the last election, especially to someone like Donald Trump.

So they are AGAINST TRUMP, but what are they for?

I was a masonry contractor until I was sixty, tell me about not doing any hard work...

You have eyes yet are blind.

They were protesting Trump's abuse of power and the use of the military as his extension of that abuse.
You MAGATs love yer tin soldier with his greasy fat, out of shape, long-haired, orange dumb ass...And his militant ways. You love his socialistic endeavors to allow the government to partially own the means of production....
You MAGATs represent the innocent stupidity that loves a liar and a dictator wannabe.
You people are just as fucked up as the Democrats....

7MM people. Thats the largest combined protest in US history. Play your stupid "they are paid" "they are just old hippy" games. The midterms are going to be interesting indeed.

LOL

All paid for by the usual suspects.

The MAGATs only like to pell-mell rush the Capitol and act like they did nothing wrong.

Pretty much what I have seen out here in Reno. You try and engage them in conversation and they are truly ignorant.

It's amazing.

A total bullshit number. At most there were a million. The really big venues didn't crack 150,000. Without those your numbers are a farce.

My daughter went to the one in DC, and there was one local here. Did you see the people in the DC march? There haven't been that many white people there since 1934. They got their ass out before dark too. Everyone knows that the country is headed downhill, but they have assigned a face to it like that will help. They really think that, and who knows what the answer is. It certainly isn't Congress or the courts. The country is turning into a shithole, and maybe trump has come in with too big a shovel and overreacting, but maybe not. He only has a limited time, and we will be back to debt slavery soon enough.

When were we ever relieved of federal taxes?
