Why the excitement?
Because we have a bumbling idiot, petty child and unindicted criminal conspirator sitting in the office of the president and a Congress that doesn't want to actually do anything about it.

Hey, the dems have lost every major election save Obama's reelection in the last DECADE, and that took weaponizing the IRS to suppress Romney supporters (better get Mueller on that!) to even get that far. So at this point, even winning Dog Catcher is looking pretty good! Especially now that Kavanaugh is a shoe in for the Supremes.

People see elections as bloodsport now. I mean when you were young; did you ever in your wildest dreams believe that you’d care more about politics than you do Professional Football? That is where we are nowadays. You have a large number of males 18-45 y/o who will swear that they care more about the GDP than the Super Bowl champion. Is that true? Who knows?
As for the midterms, likewise for the General election. The party that has the oval almost never wins the 3rd term. Yet according to most folks who support Trump; there was some sort of revolution!!! LOL That HRC got 3,000,000 more votes than the blob is Yuge given that usually the country is in a much different mood after 8 years of Obama or Bush or Clinton etc…
