"That's the media" giving you the Consumer Confidence number? The economy is actually surging? Data is not to be believed because it is biased but we do need to believe what 1 man (Trump) is telling us? That is your debate point?
Well, let me give you some facts:
The
Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) is calculated monthly by surveying 5,000 U.S. households on their views of current (40% weight) and future (60% weight) business, employment, and income conditions. Positive responses are divided by the sum of positive and negative responses to create a relative value, which is then indexed against a 1985 benchmark of 100.
Key Aspects of Calculation:
- Survey Questions (5):
- Current business conditions.
- Current employment conditions.
- Business conditions for the next six months.
- Employment conditions for the next six months.
- Total family income for the next six months.
- Methodology: Respondents answer "positive," "negative," or "neutral". The index focuses on the proportion of positive vs. negative, ignoring neutral.
There is no media involved. You (for example) could be one of the "households" put on the survey and you would answer the 5 survey questions.
So, let's do it.
I imagine that you would respond "positive" to all 5 questions (which I fully expect you to do. Your response would be biased, of course.
So are you telling me that this "supposedly" non-political survey is chosen by sending this survey only to Blue State households? If so, why would the survey be showing
any positive responses?
In addition, this survey is sent every month, so are you saying that when it was positive they were sending the survey to red states but then changed to sending it to blue states? Oh, and by the way, this survey and the way it is done has been done for centuries. Are you then saying that the present administration of that particular president, was the one that chose who to send the surveys to? If so, why were the Obama years negative for 6 of the 8 years, if he was in charge of who to send the surveys to?
Or are you saying that the opposing party (who is not in control) is the one that decides who to send the surveys to?
As you can see by what I just said, there is no way either of these choices are occurring or have occurred in the past, meaning that it is real and tangible that American citizens are saying "things are getting worse, not better"!
Your post is total biased bullshit
