....on immigration policy?
1. As a senior citizen was driving down the freeway, his car phone rang. Answering, he heard his wife's voice urgently warning him, "Herman, I just heard on the news that there's a car going the wrong way on 280. Please be careful!"
"Hell," said Herman, "It's not just one car. It's hundreds of them!"
2. So goes the tale of one individual racing the wrong way down the expressway. It hits home when we view our political landscape, and it can easily be viewed as the 'driver' on the other side of our political divide being the maniac driving the wrong way.
But.....is it possible the singleton going against traffic is the one going the right way? I'll get to that.....
3. But first.....our universities are overrun with just one political view....
"Liberal professors outnumber conservatives nearly 12 to 1, study finds" Liberal professors outnumber conservatives 12 to 1: Study
One can see the dire effects in the Berkeley Riots, or the shouting down of those with conservative viewpoints.
Here are the 'hundreds of 'em" all going the same direction.
Professor Phyllis Chesler, author of
“The Death of Feminism,” explains why there are so few conservatives:
"Academic feminists who received tenure, promotion, and funding, tended to be pro-abortion, pro-pornography (anti-censorship), pro-prostitution (pro-sex workers), pro-surrogacy, and anti-colonialist, anti-imperialist, and anti-American…proponents of simplistic gender-neutrality (women and men are exactly the same) or essentialist: men and women are completely different, and women are better. They are loyal to their careers and their cliques, not to the truth."
4. A major dogma of Liberalism is that 'no human is illegal,' there should be no restrictions to movements of peoples,' and, by extension, opposition to national sovereignty. Hence, the acceptance of illegal immigration.
The campaign goes so far that
the numbers of illegals in the country is treated as a state secret, the data on criminality of immigrants in general is essentially marked 'classified., and 'confidential.'
As with so much of Liberal dogma, it is counterintuitive.
There is no benefit to this nation for illegal or inflated immigration.
None.
Illegals keep wages low, and unemployment of Americans high; it costs billions in welfare services and police costs high.
It is only through the actions of Democrats and illegal aliens that the Left is able to claim a popular vote victory in the last election.
After all,
Obama told illegal aliens to get out and vote.
5. The basis of this thread is to expose the nexus of illegal immigration, and of the occupation of our universities by Liberals. The thread will provide the work of a brave professor who bucked the Liberal tide, and rebelled against the majority Liberals embracing of illegal aliens.
Coming right up.
The liberal professors have done well indoctrinating students, which is why we see protests and riots any time someone with a non-liberal view is scheduled to speak on campuses. They've been taught to reject all views not fed to them in the classroom.
The latest is a new course about 9/11 talking about the literature surrounding that day. It's got nothing to do with the victims or those who tried to rescue them. It's all about the poor terrorists and why they had to do what they did. It's the usual garbage about America's chickens coming home to roost.
Never will a lib admit that these cold-blooded killers have been raised to hate all infidels and have vowed death to them since they could speak. The college claims it is allowing this course because differing, even radical, views should always be allowed. Of course, we know the only views allowed are anti-American views and that no conservative or Christian views will ever be spoken in a classroom.
So, it continues with the left. On one hand, claim to support equal rights and on the other, openly support those who are against equal rights that include women and gays. The same lib politicians who live in fortresses claim that open borders are fine. For now, they support a poor vetting process to get around our laws. After all, those potential criminals and terrorists aren't going to be moving near them.
The left really wanted their open borders and universal government. I don't think they'll get over it in the near future, at least not until they mature enough to realize that what they were asking for would have been a total disaster for this country. I can only hope that common sense thinking will prevail over the irrational emotions that guide many of them.
Did you ever imagine you'd see a statement like this from one of those university professors???
"...
refugees are way worse, as most adhere to a religious-political cult with repulsive values at war with the West from its inception. No country who has taken the current crop of refugees has made it work. No school with many refugees or illegals is a good school. None of their neighborhoods are safe. Not everyone has an extra $100k to avoid them."
Perhaps the tide is turning, and we're not seeing the Trump election as the tip of an iceberg.
Refreshing to hear a voice of reason from a college campus. The libs will no doubt target this professor for his 'radical' views. The truth is considered hate speech these days.
We may actually see a sort of irony, if the professor has tenure....and the Liberals can't get rid of him.
1.Did you know that
academic tenure was a Progressive idea. In the 19th century, university professors largely served at the pleasure of the board of trustees of the university. Sometimes, major donors could successfully remove professors or prohibit the hiring of certain individuals;…
Tenure (academic) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tenure was advanced so a professor could be racist.
True story.
2. The modern institution of academic tenure was hastened by progressive academia’s solidarity with
E.A.Ross, progressive sociologist and social engineer and eugenicist. His thesis was that immigration would lead to “race suicide,” and was influenced, as were most progressives, by German national socialists.
Know what eugenics is? The Progressive idea that government should simply kill people who don't fit their criterion.
3. E.A.Ross shared with Woodrow Wilson the belief that social progress had to realize innate differences between races: Africans and South Americans were close to being savages, and Asians might be more advanced but were degenerating.
He served as a tutor to Teddy Roosevelt on immigration, and Roosevelt wrote the introduction to Ross’s “Sin and Society.”
Gotta love those Progressives, huh?
a. Ross wrote this:
“Observe immigrants…in their gatherings, washed and combed, and in their Sunday best…[They] are hirsute, low-browed, big-faced persons of obviously low mentality…[C]learly they belong in skins, in wattled huts at the close of the Great Ice Age. These ox-like men are descendants of those who always stayed behind.”
David M. Kennedy, “Can We Still Afford To Be A Nation Of Immigrants?” Atlantic Monthly, Nov. 1996, p.52-68
4. Ross got a position at Stanford, but
Stanford’s conservative grande dame and benefactor, Jane Lathrop Stanford disliked his loud and crude denunciation of Chinese ‘coolies,’ as this position was at odds with the university's founding family, the Stanfords, who had made their fortune in Western rail construction - a major employer of Chinese laborers.
Ibid.
5. Numerous professors at Stanford resigned after protests of his dismissal, sparking "a national debate.”
Progressive organizations led by Richard Ely’s American Economic Association, rallied to his cause.
The NYTimes and other newspapers editorialized on his behalf.
6. But, Ross moved on to the University of Nebraska, where he worked with
Roscoe Pound, on ‘sociological jurisprudence,’ and modern liberalism’s “living Constitution.”
In 1915, this was followed by the American Association of University Professors' (AAUP) declaration of principles—the traditional justification for academic freedom and tenure. In 1940, the AAUP recommended that the academic tenure probationary period be seven years -- still the current norm.
Goldberg, "Liberal Fascism."
Now....if Demetriou has tenure......the circle closes.
