The claim is NOT that capitalism created slavery, it is that slavery created US capitalism.Slavery has been around for thousands of years. The claim that capitalism created it is obviously absurd.

In case you don't know, half of the country was torn over the idea of slavery. Then the half that hated slavery, rose up and destroyed the half that engaged in slavery. Now which political party defended slavery again? Hmm?
Conversely, how many communist/socialist countries were free enough to rise up against mass genocide and slaughter, like the Stalin or Moa purges?
