Wholly crap, stock market is going NUTS

They don't even comprehend what he is doing.

How can they? Trump is way over their heads while they continually tell themselves that Trump is an idiot.

When stupid people continually tell themselves how much smarter they are, it is a sure bet they won't be learning anything soon.

Why are you so against fair trade? 75 countries want to stop ripping us off. Let them.
I recall that Trump, for as long as I've known about him.... He has always said that he doesn't blame Countries and their leaders for trying to do the best they can for their people. And neither do I.

But too many Countries play dirty. I remember one instance where a company shipped a whole container ship of agricultural products to Japan woth many, many millions of dollars.

It was kinda forced on Japan, they didn't want it and I can undersstand. They need to support their own farmers for National Security reasons. Which is why they have a 700% Tariff on American Rice.

But they let this ship sit there, taking their time to process, then invented a bullshit reason to inspect it and then impound it. Meanwhile, the Multi-Million Cargo spoiled.

They pull shit like this all the time.

But their shit? Their cars? Didja know, Toyodor is the biggest Auto Company in the world? By a lot. Followed by two Chinese companies, Ferrari (!?) and Benz, then VW with Generic Motors in the 8th spot. Market Cap. Production don't mean shit to me and I'm not inclusing Tesla because their Company, their stock is grossly over-priced

TOLD YOU SO, after Trump bitch slaps the world with tariff-nado everyone wants to cut a deal with us. LIKE A BOSS!!!
Not China.
While the United States holds an economic advantage over China, China maintains a political one. Trump has a four-year term—possibly only two years of real influence if he loses the midterms. In contrast, Xi Jinping has been in power for 14 years and is likely to remain in office for another 14. Although Republicans currently control Congress, that could change within two years. Meanwhile, the Communist Party has dominated the National People's Congress for over 60 years, with no sign of change.

Unlike the U.S., Chinese factory workers are immersed in the "996" culture—working from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., six days a week. The population has endured famines, epidemics, and wars that have claimed tens of millions of lives. Long periods of hardship are not unfamiliar in China.

Additionally, China can easily expand trade with EU countries, which impose only a 4.2% tariff on Chinese goods—allowing for higher profit margins than those from U.S. trade.

It’s likely that Trump will soon announce negotiations and declare a major victory over China. Given that the Chinese government faces no electoral pressure, they may offer Trump a symbolic win—something he’ll need ahead of the midterms. Whether such a victory will result in any meaningful change, however, remains to be seen.

Oh, I am heartily in favor on countries NOT ripping us off. I simply put little trust in the Trump announcement, that they are clamoring to kiss trump's ass, seeing no new agreements or knowing any scheduled trade negotiations. Also, I cannot understand why allies, such as Great Britain, The Netherlands and Australia, all with trade surpluses instead of trade deficits, were ever on the list for even the 10%, to begin with.

Not China. While America has an economic advantage over China, they have the political advantage. Trump has 4 years, maybe only 2 if he he losses the midterms. Xi Jinping has been in office for 14 years and most likely will be there for another 14 years. Republicans are in control congress now but that may change in 2 years. The Communist party has been in control of the National People's Congress for over 60 years and that is very unlike to change.

Unlike the US, most Chinese factory workers are the heart of 996 culture, a workday from 9 to 9, 6 days a week. The people have lived through famines, epidemics, and wars that have killed tens of millions. Unlike the US, long periods of hard times are nothing new.

Lastly, China can eastly increase trade with the EU countries who have only a 4.2% tariff on Chinese goods giving them a higher profit margin than they enjoy with the US.

I think it is very likely that Trump will announce negotiation and a great victory over China within the next few months. Since the government in China has no elections in doubt, they will probably give Trump his victory which he will need in the midterms. However, whether that victory would change anything remains to be seen.

President Trump has that covered, he is terminating all future elections until the USA has the upper hand.

You Are Welcome.

Markets Surge After Trump ‘Checkmates’ China With Stunning Tariff Announcement

In a surprise move Wednesday, President Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause on tariffs for more than 75 countries, while simultaneously escalating trade pressure on China by hiking tariffs to a staggering 125%. The dual-pronged policy shakeup sparked immediate reaction across global markets, with U.S. stocks surging in trading.

“Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the World’s Markets, I am hereby raising the Tariff charged to China by the United States of America to 125%, effective immediately,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realize that the days of ripping off the U.S.A., and other Countries, is no longer sustainable or acceptable.”

At the same time, Trump said he had directed a pause on tariffs for dozens of countries who, according to him, had reached out to U.S. agencies including the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, and the USTR to avoid further escalation.

“These Countries have not, at my strong suggestion, retaliated in any way, shape, or form against the United States,” Trump wrote. “I have authorized a 90-day PAUSE, and a substantially lowered Reciprocal Tariff during this period, of 10%, also effective immediately.”

Not certain that it is a "surprise move"
but, yes to the rest.

Let's be honest, no matter what Trump says or does you're quick set to repeat left narrative.

When they stand in front of a camera and say they want 0 tariffs now, it pretty much looks like they are capitulating, or kissing Trump's ass, if you prefer. Trade agreements can be thousands of pages long. This is going to take a while.
It is America's ass they are kissing. And rightly so. We have been kissing theirs for 50 years.
We have had enough. Thank President Trump. We needed this.

Lets be honest, you support Trump, no matter what he does, even if it tanks the stock market and takes more bucks out your pocket than you ever pay in normal income taxes. You drank the Kool-Aid, dude.

The uncertainty is bad. Drives volatility.

Up today, at least for now.

Because tRump blinked.
I accept your apology. 3000 points in one day, crushing the modern record. The Comeback Kid does it again!

Gaslighting, Leftist "moderator." Leftists are far less generous with contributions than conservatives, according to statistician, Professor Arthur C. Brooks. So the people who run this message board are shooting themselves in the foot by putting a snarling Leftist in authority as a "moderator." He is in fact an "extremorator."

8% of Americans own 94% of the stocks.

Democrats fight for the rich and despise the middle class American.

The primary justifications for reciprocal tariffs is the claim that other countries are ripping us off. Trump repeated this so often the public is excepting it on blind faith. If anyone is getting ripped off, it’s definitely not the United States. As our trade has expanded, all countries have gained, but none has benefited more than the United States.

According to the World Bank, comprehensive wealth per capita in the United States has increased by 22% since 1995, indicating
a significant rise in overall wealth, greater than any of our major trading partners.

Contrary to Trump's claims of increasing tariffs on US exports, the average tariff is down by 2/3 over the last 20 years.

We tried to tell you to chill.... Trump is brilliant...
Still down 5% or so for the year.

More like 8 or 9% from the irrational peaks in February.

This isn't "brilliance".

Hell, it's not even adequacy.

I’ll let you know when / if my 401 gains back all the money Trump made disappear
