I think this rally will be short lived because it does not include China, and it delays only the 10% increase on Mexico and Canada. These three countries are responsible for 48% of the goods sold in the US. Also Trump announced an increase of 125% on goods from China which goes into effect immediately.

Trump said this 90 delay will give us time to negotiate with nations that contacted us. The 125% tariffs on China is due to their lack of respect.

What he did not mention was all but a few of those nations that contacted us and are willing to negotiate are countries like Cambodia and Nigeria that import very little into the US.

When the market rethinks the delay, there will be a sizeable correction.

But trump's tariff talk caused the market to sink, and now trump backing off of the tariffs is giving the market a bounce.
But we got 4,000 DOW points to go to get back to where trump started his 2nd term.

So, what kind of CREDIT should I be giving trump right NOW?
Should he get credit for bringing back 1/2 the DOW he lost?
