no, they were encouraged by biden's open borders. the money they were paid was no taxed (like yours and mine) and was mostly sent to mexico or wherever they came from and spent there. How does any of that benefit this country? and yes, farmers may have to pay more when they hire US workers, but isn't that better than having the payments untaxed and spent in Mexico?

They were on the payroll, so, yes, they were taxed.

You want to pay higher prices for food etc. Fine.

But we will not get the number of workers needed. Prices will go up. Supply will not meet demand, because chicken plants and row crop farmers don'g want to pay the increase in wages.
