Wholesale vegetable prices rose 38.9% in July

That is almost certainly a lie.
Except it’s not. I have kept all of my financials in a Quicken program for almost 20 years and this year to date I’ve saved over $1300 on food expenses for a family of four compared to the same period last year under Biden, nothing changed. Gas expenses down $700. Most expenses down. You’ve got to quit reading Democrat media lies and look at the real numbers.

Lies. If you are paying high prices for fruits and veggies, you fall under two categories.

You are trying to be hip.
You are aren't smart enough to shop around and deserved to pay high prices.

I paid $1 for 4 lbs. of yellow onion, $0.99 for 3 bunches of green onion, $1.00 for 3 cucumbers, $1.50 for 5 lbs of potatoes, $1.00 for 2 lbs of tomatos, $0.99 for 3 lbs of cabbage.
I note you don't include cost of transport and time.

LOL. Yes, I know these prices are skyrocketing in blue states. Your figures are meaningless because different areas of the country have different prices. I have no idea what you are paying where you live but I'm guessing you don't even know anything past your worthless stats. However, I have kept track of my finances in a Quicken program for almost 20 years now so I know what I pay and it is a lot less than last year and it has nothing to do with a better loyalty program.

only if the consumer buys foreign products. there are no tariffs on American grown produce.
Hey dummy... guess what... Your full of shit as usual. When foreign produce is imported the price of the American goes up as well..

US produce prices will rise with increased tariffs on imported produce. Tariffs, which are essentially taxes on imported goods, increase the cost of bringing foreign produce into the country. This often leads to businesses raising the prices of both imported and domestically produced goods to maintain profit margins, resulting in higher prices for consumers.

Choke on a cucumber

the inflation rate is down a lot from the Biden disaster. still there but much lower. That is the point. doofus

We are above the Biden rates from Decmeber. Tasriffs are starting to kick in. The boxing manufacturers for Amazon are down because they are shipping less goods, because demand is falling.

We will let El Trump explain why Christmas will be so more expensive this year.,

It’s hard or impossible to grow everything we want here. We rely on other countries for avocados, bananas, oranges and coffee.

And that’s not even addressing what Trump is doing to labor costs for farmers.

That's not how it works. A store won't have two prices for the same item. If import price is a certain level, they will increase domestic price to match. Ever notice how gas price is within a few pennies all over town? That is the market price. The most they can sell it for without losing business.

If you pay $4.50 for pork chops, you deserved to get ripoff. I paid $1.99.

Talk abut inflation!

Just shy of 40%?

trump's economy is on the ropes.

The latest comes from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which reported Thursday a whopping 38.9% increase in wholesale dry and fresh vegetable prices from June to July, the biggest since March 2022.

So what was the cause in 2022 that causes a similar jump in prices?

Oh, the BLS. Oh, no. Oh, no.

That's right, MAGAts, it is "oh, no" for your politics as well as for all of our wallets.
What are you babbling about John?

The question was what caused an equal jump in produce prices in 2022 when trump was not president?

You are flailing about with no answer

You are wailing, flailing, and failing in defense.

It's about Trump right now. Not anyone else. Trump. He improves it or he shafts the party.
