Altadena’s $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot winner will only pay California this much in state taxes
California — maligned as tax-happy — is one of nine states, including Texas and Florida, that levy no state tax on lottery winnings.

I'm still searching through this for that information. But its interesting what I've learned so far
the guy owning the store where the person bought the ticket gets $1 million.. Why does he get so much? I think the money should be more evenly distributed to the ones who BUY the tickets.. Unfortunately, no one ever consults me about anything..
Also, there is a map here that shows which states have or don't have a state tax on lottery money.
didn't know.. that all states do not tax..
(guess the winner hasn't come forward yet)
