Who will lose out when ACA health insurance subsidies expire?

HIPPA only applies to medical information teachable to an individual.

Aggregation f data to allow for research and analysis to support overall health care operations.

correct and using medical records of an individual, wiht out their permission is a violation of the law

Aggregated data does not use individual data.

That’s kind of the point to be able to analyze aggregate data.

"Some 22 million Americans are set to lose health insurance subsidies by the end of the year. Who are they, and what will happen if the subsidies are allowed to expire?

These subsidies, known as enhanced premium tax credits, lower costs for people who buy their health insurance through Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplaces (sometimes called Obamacare). They are at the heart of a weeks-long standoff that has shuttered the federal government since Oct. 1. About 80 percent of the people who benefit from them live in states that Donald Trump won in the 2024 presidential election. Many have no idea that their health insurance costs are on track to go up.

Who benefits from the tax credit?

Almost everyone who got their health insurance through an ACA marketplace in 2025 received the enhanced premium tax credit, so describing the people who have ACA plans is a good way to get a sense of the people who get the credit."

Trump/Republican voters lose, as usual.

The stupidity of voting for Trump and Republicans.

The stupidity of voting against one’s own interests.
You are just subsidizing to cover the massive failure that the ACA is, because doing away with the subsidies just takes us back to what things were pre subsidies, pre covid, under that bill

Yeah, but 44m Americans are on the ACA. Making it unaffordable now is a healthcare disaster. Better to fund the $35b subsidy with spending cuts, like DOGE, and rake in the voters. Otherwise the democrats will run that commercial with Republicans throwing granny over the cliff and win in 2026 and 2028.

Just run ads saying we told you that ACA wAs unaffordable, and come up with a better plan, the entire Albatross that is the ACA was a plan to force us into a single payer Health care plan. That would be a mess worse than Canada's with our bureaucrats in charge. They can't run it like it is and Government should not be in the the insurance business

I hope this will cause you to admit 0bamacare has been an utter failure, and that 0bama knowingly lied about it.

Too late for that now. 44m people are on the ACA. The ACA seems to be working with the $35b subsidy.

Do Republicans want to win in 2026 and 2028, or lose?

Better to fund the $35b subsidy with DOGS savings and claw-backs of democrat slush funds, make a few tweaks, like Rand Paul suggests, by letting people buy anywhere, such as Costco or Walmart, maybe deduct premiums from welfare, or other tweaks, and rename it TRUMPCARE, then win in 2026 and 2028.

That might work.

But . . . you do agree that can be negotiated after the Democrats vote in the clean CR?

"Some 22 million parasites in America are set to lose health insurance subsidies by the end of the year" No one cares who they are and the American taxpayer will benefit when the subsidies are allowed to expire if the ACA, by some quirk of fate, survives.
THERE, I FIXED IT FOR YOU.

What the Dems set to expire is not all the subsidies or tax credits it’s only the expanded subsidies to big insurance created during COVID

With that said we are free to discuss this, once the govt is open.

Hey dimwit… a hell of a lot of those “parasites “ are our fellow Republicans… Trumpers even

It’s not all the subsidies (glad you morons finally understand that) but the net result will be a doubling of premiums

It will not effect the size of your premiums. It will only change how much of your premiums taxpayers pay instead of you.

Damn, you're dumb . . .

Dude, you can pick up the $59 tab, I'm sure.

Just one less all-you-can-eat Golden corral for you and your boyfriend and a few less Latte Grandes should do it.

And they'll bury their heads in the sand and pretend it isn't so. How could Trump be screwing them over? He's their God.

Oh, and his son might be gay. How will they take that? Will they suddenly like gay people? God forbid.
