Hillary Clinton - Brian Williams 2016

Her husband, of course.

Then she will resign for health reasons, and Bill will get a third term. And he will then appoint her as Veep.

The 22nd amendment says, "No person shall be ELECTED to the office of the President more than twice....", after all.

actually no, he can't ...

22nd amendment
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Section 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress.

12th amendment
"no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice President of the United States."

Go back and actually read what that says. He is eligible to be president, just not elected. There is nothing in your citation that eliminates him from the process. He just cannot run again.

Since Hillary Clinton is Pretty Much a 'LOCK' To Be the DNC's 2016 Candidate, barring any surprises by the FBI, who is Going to Be Her Running Mate?

POTENTIAL CANDIDATES:

1. BILL 'SLICK WILLIE' CLINTON:
I don't think Hillary wants to live in any kind of shadow of her husband, so I'm saying (NO)

2. JOHN KERRY:
I don't see Hilary wanting to gin up the 'Swift Boat' Crowd again.... (NO)

3. D-Va SENATOR MARK WARNER:
A white male business executive with a super clean and apparently virtuous background. There’s nothing remotely threatening to either political party with him. This is good for Hillary, as she is quite a polarizing figure herself. (HILLARY WON'T TRUST A VIRTUOUS PERSON TO BE HER RUNNINGMATE - NO)

4. D-COL GOV JOHN HICKENLOOPER:
'Birds of a Feather', their political views match up well. (VP HICKENLOOPER? IT DOESN'T 'SING' - NO)

5. D-Tx SAN ANTONIO MAYOR JULIAN CASTRO
Shores up the Latino vote (POTENTIAL)

6. D-Tx SENATOR WENDY DAVIS:
Very popular, from the 'south', but all-woman ticket might be much (NO)

7. D-MARYLAND GOV MARTIN O'MALLEY
His name has been thrown around but his popularity doesn't extend much past Maryland (NO)

8. D-MISSOURI GOV JAY NIXON:
Extremely popular, reputation of winning...but wouldn't it be funny as hell that Hillary started off involved with a Nixon and would end up joining with a Nixon! :p (NO)

9. D-Va SENATOR TIM KAINE:
He has a strong political history, having been lieutenant governor of Virginia, and then governor of Virginia, before moving into the U.S. Senate. He has strong Democratic credentials in a state that often votes red. However, the state of Virginia already clearly loves him, and Hillary is going to need Virginia’s electoral votes to make a strong showing in the election. Only drawback is being seen as a 'Washington Insider'. (POTENTIAL)

10. FORMED D-MONTANA GOV BRIAN SCHWEITZER
One of only Dems elected in a strong GOP state / area; well known (POTENTIAL)

11. EVAN BAYH
A former Democratic politician from Indiana, Evan Bayh has held a variety of positions in that state’s government over the course of many years. During the time he has been a fixture of Indiana politics, he has gained a lot of experience in many different areas that could be really good assets for Hillary.

12. FORMER D-FL GOV CHARLIE CHRIST
The former governor of Florida was once a Republican, but changed his party affiliation to Democrat in 2010 when he saw the Republican party moving away from what he thought were the most important issues in this country. (FL MAKES HIM A POTENTIAL)

13. JOE BIDEN
Obama’s VP has been a low-key, fun figure in Democratic politics for the past 8 years. Non-controversial, but with genuine public appeal, there is no reason he couldn’t be a gem of a VP for Hillary, too. People like Joe Biden. He’s a congenial, nice guy who doesn’t go poking his nose into politics any more than is required by his job. (NO)

14.TOM VILSACK
The Democratic U.S. Secretary of Agriculture also served two terms as the governor of Iowa. Those are political credentials that are hard to ignore. ('Vilsack'? Um, NO)

15. GENERAL WESLEY CLARK
Though he hasn’t served in any political office before, this doesn’t mean Clark’s name isn’t known in political circles. In fact, he is highly respected by politicians of both parties, and by voters. (Hillary HATES the military...and Secret Service...past and present...NO)

16. D-SENATOR NEW MEXICO MARTIN HEINRICH
This Democratic senator from New Mexico has also served a few terms in the House of Representatives for his state. He hasn’t been in the upper echelons of Washington politics for long, which is good. It helps him avoid that dreaded “Washington insider” status among voters.

WHO ELSE?

Bill Clinton has spent eight years as President. He is not legally able to be Vice President

I think Julian Castro is an obvious choice. Martin O'Malley would make a good candidate

So let's see you error in thinking that led you to this conclusion.

RUNNNING mate?! Sorry...I thought it said CELL mate.

No he can't. He is constitutionally ineligible.

He is ineligible to be elected by the 22nd Amendment, but the qualifications to be president are listed in the body of the Constitution. He has to be a natural born citizen, etc.

You're kinda slow eh?

He cannot be elected under the 22nd amendment. He cannot serve as VP under the 12th amendment.

So how is Bill Clinton going to become President? Run (and win) as Speaker of the House and hope for the worst?

You are the one who apparently is slow at reading for comprehension. He can not be elected PRESIDENT under the 22nd Amendment. There is no restriction that he can not be Vice President anywhere in the Constitution. None.

By the way, you do now that 12 comes BEFORE 22, so if it were a problem with the 12th Amendment, they would have spelled it out in the 22nd Amendment.

You're a pedantic dullard. He cannot serve as VP. It's in the 12th amendment. The 22nd amendment did not invalidate the 12th. Please stop making an ass of yourself.

The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and all persons voted for as Vice-President and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate.

The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted.

The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President.[Note 1]

The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.

He is constitutionally ineligible. PERIOD. If he tried some gambit that gave him the Presidency by non-electoral means he would be quickly and forcibly removed by the SCOTUS.
