What I'm primarily asking is, whether this disease actually IS monkeypox.

It doesn't act like monkeypox, it doesn't come from Africa, its infection vesicles are primarily distributed around the genital area, nothing like the usual presentation in Africa ----- This seems to be a very suspicious disease to me.
