I'm talking about conservatives treating Trump as if he were the Messiah

WHO thinks of Trump as the Messiah? Do you have a list? Names?

like he seems to think he is now.

Trump thinks he's the Messiah? Where do you get that? Has Trump SAID that? What IS true is that a lot of people think Trump's life WAS spared in Butler Pa when that bullet missed his head and that he was saved for a special reason or mission.

Or maybe he's always thought that and it's just come to light since his depiction of him being Jesus Christ and I've been shown the truth.

Who's depiction? Why do you keep repeating this nonsense as if Trump owned, drew, authored or commissioned an art poster? And where in it does it say he was Jesus? And why would Jesus need a soldier and a medical nurse beside him?

Great president yes, but there's only ONE Messiah and that's Jesus Christ.

At least as far as Christians are concerned. The Muslims insist it is Allah, the Indians call him Buddha. One big difference is that while eastern religion has room for everyone's gods and views, only the Catholics and Muslims have murdered thousands (millions?) in the name of their god insisting theirs is and can be the only true one.

Trump has turned into the golden calf for many conservatives now unfortunately.

So what? What a great place to be in for much of a nation to be so delighted with their president! It has been a long time (my whole life?) since this country has been so happy with any of their presidents. At least not since Ronny or maybe JFK.

CK, you sound almost angry and resentful of Trump like he is taking credit or attention away from Christ? Is that stupid poster the whole (and only) reason that drove you to come back here? Have you seen these others? How did you ever miss this one from 2018?

Point being that artwork comparing Trump to holy or religious figures is nothing new, it has been going on for almost as long as Trump has been in office. And I suspect, it will still keep going on.

Why must it be an either/or? Christ saves the spirit. Trump is trying to save our bodies (fill in asses, nation, or other).

I guess it depends on what you feel needs saving most? Without our souls, our bodies ain't worth much, whereas without our bodies, our spirit remains intact.

Seriously, since when is supporting your president or being happy with his efforts meant to compete with Christ? And please don't say it is because of a stupid art poster someone drew up or because of some loudmouthed pope.

After 12 years of Obumma-Biden, I cannot blame anyone with being absolutely mostly thrilled at the hard work Trump has done these past 15 months. For certain, Trump, unlike Biden, has not taken the easiest path through his 2nd term making much trouble for himself because he felt it was the RIGHT thing to do.

Serious question and please answer honestly. I'm asking because I see to me what appears of a lot putting Trump before Christ and that's really upsetting to me. Not like he isn't a great president but still he isn't the Lord even if he acts like it.

Who is putting Trump ahead of Jesus Christ? I don't see any. So, chill out. Jesus Christ is Lord. Trump is President of the United States. Do you understand the difference?

Comparing similarities between Trump and Christ I don't have issues with, it's when people start actually treating Trump as Christ that's when I have issues with it and yeah I sure hope that one poster was joking too about Trump being the possible Messiah but I don't know about that...

Mind you, I am often nonplussed over many of the things Trump says and does or the way he does them, but I've resolved that this is Trump, he is not going to change, he sucks at being a good politician or statesman, the guy is a nuts and bolts businessman with a thin skin and a short fuse for BS.

But actually, considering what democrats, courts and media have put the guy through, I find him amazingly cheerful, upbeat and pleasant with most people.

I think the guy is just sick and tired of being attacked, criticized and never given the credit he deserves.

Sometimes he embarrasses me with some things he says or the way he treats people, like bragging how America is the best in front of world leaders, but I'd rather have a president thrilled with the job he is doing loving his country than the kind of hate-America crap the democrats constantly flout.

My theory is that he was a bit flattered by it and took it proudly for some of the appreciation or compliments due him so lacking in many. Either way, I'm not too concerned and no, I don't think Trump thinks he's Jesus, but he MIGHT believe his life was spared in Butler for some divine purpose, and if that makes him fight and work harder to get stuff done in every minute of every day he is in office, more power to him.

What I hate to see is that after 4 years of Biden doing so much wrong that not a single democrat complained about, they would not even concede his mental deterioration, we now have a golden goose in Trump, not that he is perfect, far from it, yet somehow, many within the GOP seem hellbent anyway in just constantly trying to complain about and find fault with him.

Trump is human, so by definition, not perfect. I just wish people would give the guy a chance, get out of his way and have faith that he will get things done.
