Who is better Pacino or DE Niro

To me, Pacino hands down. He's a great actor but thats not to say DeNiro isnt, I just think Pacino takes his characters to another level. I think it feels more effortless for him to become his character, and I sometimes have the feeling he is ad libbing a bit more as he feels it.

My favorite, is Jack Nicholson, started in the 50's with B movies, then hit the Big time with Easy Rider.

I watched a movie with him in it the other evening....The Terror.....Odd flic.





Sandra Knight was hot.

I think De Niro has more range but Pacino is Pacino in the same way Jack Nicholson is Jack Nicholson.

I have to be honest. I have never seen any of Robert Deniro's films and the only Al Pacino film that I have seen is Dick Tracy.

There are actors who are likable when on the screen. Jack is one of them. Even if he plays a bad guy.

No 2 actors in the history of movies even come close . They each have several amazing pictures if not dozens each.

De Niro- Goodfellas, Casino, Untouchables, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver

Pacino- Godfather 1/2, Scareface, Dog Day, Carlitos Way, Serpico

Deniro, he has more consistent record over far more movies……

You forgot Midnight Run.

Neither is better. Both are like two flavors of great ice cream, whichever floats your boat on any given day.

The one thing certain is that there are no new up and coming actors like them (Nicholson, Hoffman, Cagney, et al) or 50 other names to replace them.

Hollywood is like a charred ember now slowly dying out.

Midnight Run is a great movie and it doesnt get as much attention as it deserves……Deniro and the other guy are great in it……..

Yes, it was very well cast with a number of actors who beautifully played against DeNiro's character, but none better than Yaphet Kotto who played the big black FBI agent (the sunglasses) who was also looking to capture Mardukas and was shown up at every turn by DeNiro who was always one step ahead and so, became the perfect straight man foil against DeNiro as the backbone of the movie.

You can't like DeNiro and not love this movie. One of his best.

That seems to be closest to his true personality, but he would kidnap (and probably kill) a Trump supporter's kid.

I would have thought that DeNiro was older than Pacino but the opposite is true. Pacino has DeNiro beat by about two years. Both overrated actors for my money.
