Nice list!

"Red Dawn" Belongs in the 80's list. I'd add "The Matrix", "Last of the Mohican's", "Braveheart" and "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" to your 1990's list. "Gladiator" and "Apocalypto" in the 2000's.

People love to shit on them (mostly people who never watched them), but the Avengers movies are masterpieces.

You forgot Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein

No one has done the 50's, which is not surprising with all the B movies, Beech movies, Teeny Weeny Bikinis, Rocklin Roll, and Elvis Presley movies, we often forget that their were some good movies. One problems in 50's was the reorganizations taking place in Hollywood, RKO's collapse, MGM on it's last gasp, and dozens of independents spring up all hoping to survive the TV craze that was closing theaters across the country.

Ok, here's my list with my favorites highlighted

All About Eve, Born Yesterday
An American in Paris, A Streetcar Name Desire
High Noon, The Quiet Man
From Here to Eternity, Roman Holiday, Shane
On the Waterfront, The Cain Mutiny
Marty, Mr. Roberts, Picnic
Giant, King and I, The Ten Commandments
Bridge on the River Kwai, 12 Angry Men, Witness for the Prosecution
GiGi, Auntie Mame, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Diary of Anne Franks,
Anatomy of a Murder, Some Like It Hot

This was a really enjoyable western. I really liked Maureen O'Hara as the English lady with the Bull. I will always remember her as the fiery Irish red head in the Quiet Man, also a very good movie.
