This sort of editorializing is typical of the Daily Beast:

Expressing awe over the fact that Musk’s rockets don’t have wings, Trump explained that the United States needs to “protect our geniuses” like Musk."
Without context, commenting that Trump is in "awe" that Musk's rockets have no wings, makes Trump sound like a real dumbass, after all we all know rockets don't have wings, they have varying types of stabilizing fins of course, but we don't think of them as wings.
But that wasn't at all what the "awe" Trump was getting at. Trump, like any normal person, is in "awe" that Musk's rockets can return safely and land without gliding on to a runway like a winged aircraft.
