who here thinks George Forman's family should continue getting his SS payments?

Yeah they get screwed, and if they have adult kids or aren’t married all their ā€œearnersā€ stays with the govt

How’s that fair? Why can’t they leave their earners to their adult kids?
So,you want 40 year old working people collecting mommy's SS too?
You dumb asses and bound and determined to break the government............
Then whine, when it can't come to your rescue.

If mom wants to give her earners to her forty year old why shouldn’t she? She earned it,,, right ??

She can’t will the earnings that the govt took…that’s the money we are talking about
No shit.
So, do you think people who have pensions from their company should be able to "Will" their pension to their kids?
Companies don't operate that that, why do you expect the government to?

Pension benefits go to whomever the earner designates they go to.

Haha did you think the company keep it? Haha

No, they don't.

Survivor Benefits in Private Pension Plans:

Yes.
Yes, yes they do. Yes, the law mandates that benefits go to the spouses, that laws simply makes min standards. If they aren't married, they can give to anyone else they wish. You really thought the money simply went back to the company??? haha

you are a freaking idiot

That's the way it is.

If you have a survivor benefits, the beneficiaries must be named, and only for dependent children.

Just like social security.

Yes, that's the way it is, by law, at a minium they have to give it to spouse.

Of course the beneficiaries have to be named.

No, not like SS, because it's not a tax and you can give it to assigned benefiaries

Taking the names off the list is good. Taking them off other lists may be part of it. Like voter rolls as an example.
Nope...

Deactivating from a data point of view is best, it allows us to have an audit trail...

Example: If you delete, it is a lot harder find out who deleted something after it is gone... Deactivate and it is simple.
This is why we don't delete...

If you delete and someone asks who did you pay 5 years ago? Don't know, we deleted it.

It is designed in a way to cut off the living family because the earner died. It is a ponzi scheme in other words.

Toddsterpatriot, you can be friends with both Russia and China.

That is a door that opens onto an empty elevator chute.

LIb and dems do not seem to care about SS payments going to dead people, so this is a valid question.
If he paid into the system- which he almost certainly did-, and if his widow is eligible to receive- which she almost certainly is- then, yes, of course she should receive them.

Why on esrth not? Whats the point of this thread?

yes, a surviving spouse is entitled to SS benefits, but not the kids and extended family of a dead person. That is the point of this thread, doofus.

How many are receiving such benefits who should not?

I see no numbers.
