Zone1 I'm just curious - Who do you think the anti-christ is, or will be??

I stick to Scripture (the Holy Bible) when it comes to these questions or issues. There is an Antichrist (singular) and there are many antichrists (plural). The word "Satan" literally means adversary. In the singular sense, I take it to mean "The Serpent," "The Great Dragon," "The Tempter," Lucifer, Beelzebub, "The Accuser," "The Father of Lies," Belial, or the fallen archangel, Satan. In the plural sense, I take it to mean individuals, organizations, or religious bodies that make it their foremost goal to oppose all things Christian.
In the singular, an individual is referred to as the Satan, i.e., Peter, a disciple.

Satan in Hebrew is not the devil or anyt8ng like it. Its also not the serpent in Genesis. The serpent is creature from Hebrew folklore that has the power of speech and is the metaphor for guile. There is no devil in Genesis

Um, yea, okay.

Did you happen to notice that I wasn't deriving from the Hebrew but rather from the Greek?

Of course, you and I know that you're taking things out of context but that's the sort of thing that an "antichrist" would do.

Sure, good one.

It's in black and white for anyone to see. Peter objected and Jesus called him an antagonist, a satan.

And in case you didn't know, Peter was an individual.

Context, Son. Context.

As I explained earlier (and you clearly misunderstood) the word "satan" simply means adversary. At a particular moment in biblical history, Peter made two mistakes: 1) He tried to defend Jesus by cutting the ear off a soldier who sought to capture Jesus. 2) He denied Christ out of fear of the Jews. In the first instance, he tried to stop what was meant to be. Christ HAD to die on the cross for the benefit of mankind but Peter allowed his immediate emotions to get the better of him. In the second instance, Peter feared capture so he acted as if he had to loyalty to Jesus. In both cases, he repented.

Cherry picking Scripture and maligning its actual meaning, purpose, and message just shows who you really are.

Why not mention the mistake that prompted Jesus to call him Satan? You know, when he tried to interfere with Jesus' mission?

In the plural, Satan describes individuals, you say. I mention an instant of that in the singular. So, what's the big deal?

Get a grip, Son.

You clearly have a reading disability.
