Presidential Pardons
President Obama pardoned 64 people. 5 other presidents pardoned less with two pardoning zero.
This will become a point of discussion. The Republican head of the FBI said there were no cases where someone was charged and convicted with classified material on their computer.
Actually, there would have been one. Former head of the FBI who was charged with having classified material on his home computer but before his plea bargain could be filed, he was pardoned.
If his plea bargain had been filed, there would have been precedent. It could have ruined her campaigned.
On the other hand, for the Republican head of the FBI to stand up and speculate that the server could have been hacked about a case he himself dismissed was terrible. There are standards in the FBI about public speculation and that crossed the line.
Republicans will still try to milk this, but the truth is, it's over.
And Trump still has civil cases to face in court charging racketeering and fraud. If he loses any of those cases, it could open the door to criminal charges.
So the Drama continues.
See you in court.
