Whitehouse issues 9/11 'talking points'

oooohhhhh!... its PR. I guess that justifies not mentioning who killed nearly 3000 people in one blow.

Nothing has to be "justified". Why should you have any say as to what the White House talking points are?

Oh I forgot. I should not question or have any opinion about if the White House is representing our country in a false (false by omission) manner about the most horrific attack on America since the early days of our country.

I am just a peon, average citizen. I should just shut up and get back in my corner.

LOL, have you got some learning to do about my stubborn determination to speak out when I see an injustice or an issue that I think is dangerous to the welfare of America.

You missed my point, I think.

Your "stubborn determination" to get outraged at every little thing is more the point.

Who cares what the White House PR department says? It's the fucking PR department. What exactly is "dangerous to the welfare of America"?

White House 9/11 Talking Points: Al Qaeda Is ‘Irrelevant’ -- Daily Intel

Government employees were given documents by the White House that instruct them on how to commemorate the tenth anniversary of September 11 depending on their audience. American consulates and embassies abroad were delivered one set of guidelines, which stress that 9/11 "is not 'just about us,'" while domestic federal employees received a different one-page document:

The guidelines list what themes to underscore — and, just as important, what tone to set. Officials are instructed to memorialize those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and thank those in the military, law enforcement, intelligence or homeland security for their contributions since.
They also stress "a positive, forward-looking narrative" and note that following the death of Osama Bin Laden, Al Qaeda isn't even worth mentioning: Although they "still have the ability to inflict harm ... Al Qaeda and its adherents have become increasingly irrelevant."

Add to that the fact that Clergy, of any kind, is not allowed to speak at the 9/11 ceremonies and we have a delicious mix of idiocy and cow-towing of legendary proportions.

This President and administration are the biggest group of abject pussies ever assembled.

Seriously, this is some of the dumbest shit put out by any President and administration.

It is dangeours arrogance to believe that we cannot be 'taken down' by a group of people, including American liberals. It is dangerous to the welfare of America to minimize a real threat from a specific group by not mentioning that they are the one who caused this tradgedy.

True that they have been virtually dismatled, but to forget the past by revision is dangerous as we will allow ourselves to re-live it.

Speaking out is not outrage. It may seem like outrage when it brings to surface something you choose to ignore. And speaking of revisioning something. Compare the last two quotes. You are pretty good at it yourself.

The Obama Administration is re-writing history again.:cuckoo:

That is equal to saying that Japan and Germany are not worth mentioning in relation to WWII

No one is "re-writing history". It's PR.

What is so outrageous! about this?

What's outrageous is that Americans will go along with it.

But you just proved there are some that are dumb enough to do just that.

Al Qaida has received a serious ass kicking. They are disorganized and being hunted around the globe. All Americans should celebrate and it is something we can be glad for on Sept 11

So many Al Qaida will not be able to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their attack

And then another bomb explodes and kills another hundred innocent victims.

A true patriot is not one who stands behind the country's leaders through right and wrong. A true patriot is one who questions the country's leaders when he thinks they are being untrue to the country's best interest.

The government did go to Mecca (figuratively speaking) with our message. We have disembled the Al Qaeda heirarcy to a point that they no longer have the capabloility to do what they did. And I think it a mistake to come back home until they are crippled to a point that it would take decades to re-assemble. Then, if and when they do re-assemble, if they attack again, we return with the same message.

If we do not stand strong for America against its enemies we will loose it.

This 10th anniversary coming up falls on a particularly busy Sunday.

We have opening day of football season....stadiums full of people all over the country.
Add in a NASCAR race with tens of thousands.
Toss in 3 big memorial services and you have dozens of world stages for any number of lunatics to try to make their name known to Allah.

:(

The White House wants to declare victory in the middle of a war and then withdraw.

Declare victory in the news not on the battlefield is their motto.

Hell with the facts, just keep spewing the proaganda, right? :poop:

FYI.....the rebels in Libya are releasing prisoners in their jails by the hundreds, many of them known al Qaeda followers.

Way to go Obama!!!!:clap2:
Yeah, just wait and see what happens in Libya.

We, most likely, for all intensive purposes, just handed over an entire country to fuckin' Jihadi's of all ilks. With vast oil reserves and weapons (WMD'S in particular) to both fund and execute their Fatwa on the the United States.
