But with the slave trade, for some reason the blacks on this forum blame the purchaser of the product, rather than those pushing the product - and in fact make excuses for them and downplay their role. (Just look at how Superbro tried to deflect with “well, they didn’t own the ships.”)

Every aspect of the institution was pretty disgusting but it’s simply easier to point the finger solely at the white man. The issue is too complicated for some to consider all factors.

We’re all human which means we like our prejudices to be clear cut and simple.
