The primary difference is method of delivery. Pepper spray is more for an individual and tear gas is for larger groups. Outside of that, the difference is so minor it really is irrelevant.

I just read the difference from googling it.... tear gas is NOT pepper spray, tear gas is an artificial/synthetic chemical, and pepper spray is not....it does come from a concentrated ingredient in a/from a.... natural hot pepper.
