Yeeeaaaah. I don't know where you get your info from. He joined the German Workers party in 1919, and in 1921, he became its leader, as the Nationalist Socialist German Workers Party. He led the party all the way to his power grab in 1933, and he went throughout the whole war as a... Nazi. For someone who didn't like socialism, wouldn't seem odd that he was leader of the National Socialist Party until the end in 1945?
