The combined U.S. goods and services trade deficit increased to $679 billion in 2020, compared to $481 billion in 2016, the year before Trump took office. The trade deficit in goods alone hit $916 billion, a record high and an increase of about 21 percent from 2016.
The actual data over the last couple of decades though shows that Trump's trade deficits were not appreciably higher than Obama's and considerably lower than under Bush 43. And since Trump was not allowed a second term, and it takes such policies a number of years to fully kick in, we don't know how those trade deficits would look now.You should have read the link I provided.
