Which is it? Tax the wealthy a bit more or not, Mr. Trump?

Last week, in an interview with Lester Holt, Donald Trump said that he would raise taxes on the wealthy, and when asked what was "wealthy" Trump replied "me".

Then, yesterday, when he was talking on Meet the Press and was asked about his policies, he said that it was more of a floor that could be negotiated with the Congress, but it would result in less taxes for the wealthy (as compared to his original plan, only 48 hours earlier).

Then, in even more double speak, he backs away from his statements. The most inane one? He said the wealthy would pay a bit more in tax, but it would be less than what they are paying now?

Does anyone even believe this snake oil salesman? If he waffles like this in the primaries, Hillary is going to destroy him in the general.

Well faggot if you lower the rate but close the loop holes the rate is less but they pay more because of the loss of loop holes.

Dude, you are upsetting the 42 percenters with your questions. They don't need to know what he will do, because he is the Donald. They believed everything he said, even after he changed it. They have absolutely no idea what he really wants to do, because he flops more than Flipper, lol! He is the worst candidate running for office since Mondale, and even Mondale's supporters had more of a clue than the 42 %ers.

He'll say absolutely any thing at any time in any situation to any audience.

If he is caught in double-speak, he'll just insult someone.

These are very attractive traits in the party currently.

And who's gonna do that? No one.

I'm still wondering about his raise taxes, but not as much under his original plan comment.

If I recall, his original plan was torn apart by many economists because it said his original one would put us in debt more than 10 Trillion in 10 years.

Then he wants to raise taxes on the wealthy (thinking it would be a short talking point that would get him support), but when called out on it, he said he doesn't want to raise taxes on anyone.

And, if he's going to raise taxes, how are the rich going to pay less? Sounds like really crappy math.

Just more proof that Trump doesn't know anything but will say anything if he thinks it will get him something.

He wants to lower the top bracket to 25%. He will lower the taxes on the wealthy and to close some tax loopholes, they will just create more.

For those not paying attention, Trump has said he would lower the rates for everyone but is open to negotiation with congress over raising the rate for the 'rich' back up a bit but NOT above where it is now hence he's not raising taxes on the 'rich'.

He said raise the taxes on the rich only because it's a good talking point for the middle class, and that's where he's looking for the votes from.

After all this crap, and his horrible double speak and waffling, I'm wondering how anyone can still consider voting for him.

This thread is a joke, right?

This thread is a joke.

Actually, I wanted to see what the Trump supporters and others think about this idiot's double speak on taxes.

And, also, wanted to bring up the fact that Trump sticks his foot in his mouth on a regular basis and then tries to cover it up.

Why are lefties so interested in Trump's tax agenda when they have a freaking socialist and a neo socialist to choose from who will tax them to the freaking limit?

And yet millions are converting over to his thinking. I guess they're used to the hillary and o doing the same thing that they've just accepted this.

Because there is a possibility of Trump getting into the White House (remote though it is), and if he did win, those policies would have an impact on everyone in this country.

You gotta be prepared for all possibilities, even the ones you don't like.

Given his inconsistencies, backpedaling, and lies, Trump is indeed the right presidential nominee for republicans.
