Zone1 Which God?

Justified: punishment, even death that is deserved, look it up. The idea that God is immoral because He has justified the killing of certain humans is standard fare in atheistic rhetoric. Next atheist argument when it evolves after having to accept that death is Justified under certain cases of crimes against humanity such as serial killiing, child molestation and murder...etc., is the arugment that God is immoral because He allows death..... moves to the qualifier...."God is immoral because He allows the innoncent be put to death........He (God) killed innocent children...yada, yada, yada.......

They point to certain passages of scripture such as (Numbers 31) where God commands Moses to "destroy" the Midianties.....and say, "Well........some of the deaths might be justified because of war crimes and wickedness, but REALLY.......putting 'innocent' children to death? Examples innocent children were killed in the Flood (Genesis 7)......death of the first born in Egypt (Ex. 12:29-30) and as mentioned before TOTAL DESTRUCTION of the Midianties even the children (Numbers 31), or the passages in (1 Sam. 15) the death of the Amelekites. How can these deaths be "justified"? The claim that God can't be moral because innocents are allowed to die...thus Atheism is superior in morality as compared to the God of Creation. Then one thinks about ABORTION of DEMAND that atheism JUSTIFIES.

Using the logic that justifies ABORTION of a human child......lets pretend and play the WHAT IF game. What if all the children in the Amelekite line suffered from Genetic abnormaliteis.......would that satisfy the atheist who claims that God is immoral?

Reality: God allowed these innocent children to be put to death because there is more to human life than physical life......there is the Human Spirit which was created with IMMORTALITY in mind, meaning it will live forever after the body has decayed and gone back to the earth. These children in question were not being punished (their parents were being punished for implanting their wicked ideologies into the innocent minds of the children). When an innocent child dies it goes directly to paradise to the bossom of Abraham.

Why order the total destruction of an entire line of peoples...better known as "genocide"? Because these nations of people were found guilty of paganism, murder, rape.......even offering up innocent children at an alter of fire to appease their false gods, after raiding and stealing these children from other nations. God commanded the entire SEED of this wickedness be removed from the earth much like His reason for the Flood in Gensis 7. What is best for these children......allow these children to grow up and reach tha age of reason where they can personally be held accountable for their wickedness that has been instructed to them from birth forward.......or allow them to gain entrance into paradise before the age of reason? Which is moral and which is not? Which is JUSTIFED in the eyes of the Lord?

Why were the innocents along with the wicked ......killed by command of God? The Bible answers, God, being omnipresent with omniscience saw, "........the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually........" Genesis 6:5 God eliminated the NEXT GENERATION of evil from the earth......those innocent children are in paradise today......where would they be if allowed to mature in that wicked generation of peoples?

Your wisdom is showing, Friend.

Why were Adam and Eve punished? The apple gave them knowledge of Good and Evil but if they didn't understand those concepts how could they understand it was wrong to eat?

A good point in FAVOR of abortion.

You can certainly believe whatever you wish but it seems to me the God of the OT has the same morality of the Bronze age civilizations of the time. The God of the NT seems to have a much more modern morality. Coincidence?

Richard Dawkin, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Lawrence Krauss and Bill Nye the Science Guy combined have had fewer children than Osama Bin Laden. Tell me again what is our sole purpose in life?

An Atheist won't ask "Which God?" for the simple fact that the Atheist does not allow for the existence of a "God"...

Richard Dawkins doesn’t word it that way. Richard Dawkins says that “everyone is an atheist, we just go one god further.”~Richard Dawkins

It’s a tad different.

Richard Dawkin, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Lawrence Krauss and Bill Nye the Science Guy combined have had fewer children than Osama Bin Laden. Tell me again what is our sole purpose in life?

to triumph over the evils including those of the desert religions, the false commandments those religious zealots use to persecute and victimize the innocent.

to make possible for all beings the return to paradise through their own deeds than that sought unjustly to be done for them by the heavens.

This country was not founded on Christianity or anything else.
Our first five of the six founding presidents were rational theists. They were not Christian’s in any normal Catholic or modern sense because they wanted no part of the Catholic and Protestant irrational theological concept of original sin, Virgin birth, Holy Trinity, salvation through the divine blood of Jesus Christ, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The European-centric white Protestant Christian lie that America was founded as a Christian nation by Christians and for
Christians is the greatest lie American conservatives have dumped on American politics. It is the great lie that set up Trump’s BIG LIE that he won the 2020 election. Trump’s election fraud lie goes nowhere with out white evangelical Christians believing in Trump like the believe in Jesus.

Which God? Looking through history it's that God whose followers killed the most of the other God's adherents. I hope you're happy with the fine work your religious ancestors did so you could worship The One True God.

“In Hitler’s eyes Christianity was a religion fit only for slaves,” wrote Alan Bullock “Hitler, A Study in Tyranny,” a seminal biography. “Its teaching, he declared, was a rebellion against the natural law of selection by struggle of the fittest.”

Bullock, in describing Hitler as a “rationalist and materialist,” quotes him in a wartime conversation with aides as saying:

The dogma of Christianity gets worn away before the advances of science ... Gradually the myths crumble. All that is left to prove that nature there is no frontier between the organic and inorganic. When understanding of the universe has become widespread, when the majority of men know that the stars are not sources of light, but worlds, perhaps inhabited worlds like ours, then the Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity.

By 1942, Hitler vowed, according to Bullock, to “root out and destroy the influence of the Christian Churches,” describing them as “the evil that is gnawing our vitals.”

5 uncomfortable facts atheists need to hear

atheismimageuse

The title of my book - Atheism Kills - seems to have unleashed an apocalyptic hate-fest of epithets, insults and general cantankery at the proposition that atheism as a governing ideology kills. But I still believe the ideology of atheism is deeply destructive. The atheist rarely contemplates the following five uncomfortable truths. But they need to. There are consequences to the atheistic mindset. And they are all horrific.

1. Atheism is responsible for more deaths than Judaism or Christianity

Fascism and communism - both of which were atheist ideologies - murdered more than 150 million people in the 20th Century alone.
Communist and other godless regimes have continued to kill hundreds of thousands since. Add the millions of rapes, tortures and enslavements by these same godless regimes, and you’ve got yourself a pretty ugly picture.
The atheist’s favorite ‘go to’ accusation against Christianity includes the Inquisition, the Crusades, the Salem Witch Trials and the church paedophilia scandal. However, even assuming that all such wrongs occurred as a direct result of church doctrine (they did not, but let’s assume so), the numbers dwarf in comparison to what atheism has wrought.
The Crusades involved the deaths of approximately 1.5 million people. Most of them were soldiers on both sides, as well as people who died of disease and other peripheral causes. The Inquisition resulted in less than 5,000 deaths over a span of approximately 300 years. The Salem Witch Trials spanned just four months, resulting in a total of 19 killed.
There are other so-called ‘killings’ that occurred as a result of religious fervor (the French Religious Wars, the 30 Years War, and so forth), but even adding all those up, you could not even reach ten per cent of the numbers of deaths that godless regimes have caused.
To argue that “religion has caused more death than anything else” is a quip that has no basis in fact.

2. Hitler was not a Christian

Atheists routinely urge that the Nazis were Christian, invoking Christianity to justify their horrors. This is false.
Nazism and fascism never held themselves out as Christian enterprises. More particularly, Hitler himself despised Christianity. He saw Christianity as “meek” and “flabby” and sought to destroy it “root and branch”. He bemoaned why Germany was “stuck” with “feeble minded” Christianity and preferred other “strong-arm” systems.
Hitler’s writings and speeches are so full of passages dripping with contempt for Christianity that to argue he was Christian is like arguing George Washington fought for the British during the Revolutionary War.

3. Atheism is an ideology - whether you realise it or not

The most common argument is that atheism is not an ideology; it merely reflects the absence of faith in religion. They just don’t believe in God. Why can’t we please leave them alone?
But it turns out they don’t want to leave you alone. On social media most atheists are bizarrely vocal about their contempt for Christianity and, to a lesser extent, Judaism, for their beliefs. They believe these religions frustrate progress. They argue with great passion that we’d be better off if we just eradicated God once and for all. Godless regimes have always sought the eradication of God with passionate zeal, deadly efficiency on a mass scale, and unspeakable cruelty.
Such thinking is an ideology. Such “non-belief” has devastating consequences. Not believing in God is like not believing in seat belts. Or better yet: it’s like not believing in the police, the judiciary, medicine or fire stations. You don’t have to believe in them, but living in a world without them has consequences.

4. People of faith are responsible for a huge amount of good in our society

Atheists don’t give credit for what the Church and Judaism have done for civilisation: the creation of our notions of justice, the hospital system, the university, public schools, charity, progress, truth and freedom itself.
Who fought against and ultimately destroyed the evils of slavery? The Christians and Jews. Who were the only ones who fought against the horrors of eugenics (forced sterilisation of those the state deemed inferior), and China’s horrific “one child” policy? The Christians and Jews.

5. Judaism and Christianity created civilisation

A world centered around God has allowed us to pursue the great blessings of God: beauty, justice, truth and freedom itself. Such things mean nothing without God’s presence.
Atheists may enjoy such values, and even benefit from them, but they are only living off of what others have created. There is no real reason to pursue any of these values without a sense of purpose. Purpose itself is meaningless without God.
Without God, there is no reason to have children, or to hope for the continuation of our family name or our values. There is no reason to die for our country, or for freedom. After all, what’s the point? In a world without God, we need only do what the animals do: mate, eat, and make sure not to be eaten. We need only live for today.
This is contrary to the notion of “civilisation”. By definition, civilisation contemplates a future that is better than our present, and we derive lessons from the past to do so. Civilisation does not mean we just have a good time on the planet while we are here; civilisation means we seek a better vision for our collective future. We know this instinctively, but many never quite incorporate it into their worldview.

Barak Lurie is a former atheist. He is the host of The Barak Lurie Show, a big-picture look at politics, religion and law in the news. Uhhh... Not an Atheist, rather a very Devout Agnostic. Never heard of an Agnostic persecuting or killing other people just because they don't know in the same way as he doesn't know.

As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice.

Adolf Hitler

My feeling as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded only by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was his fight against the Jewish poison. Today, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed his blood upon the Cross.

Adolf Hitler

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. - Jesus Christ in Revelations 3:16

Camels on the Horizon:

The founder of Dubai, Sheik Rashid, was asked about the future of his
country, and he replied, "My grandfather rode a camel, my father rode a camel, I ride a Mercedes, my son rides a Land Rover, and my grandson is going to ride a Land Rover…but my great-grandson is going to have to ride a camel again. “Why is that, he was asked?

And his reply was, “Hard times create strong men, strong men create easy times. Easy times create weak men, weak men create difficult times.

Many will not understand it, but you have to raise warriors, not parasites.”

And add to that the historical reality that all great empires..the Persians, the Trojans, the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans, and in later years, the British...all rose and perished within 240 years.

They were not conquered by external enemies; they rotted from within. America has now passed that 240 year mark, and the rot is starting to be visible and is accelerating

That long, tedious cutting and paste drivel is drenched in falsehoods and fallacies. Not surprising coming from a self-hating religious extremist.

What you fail to realize is that communism and socialism are political ideologies. You make a mistake common among religious extremists of claiming atheism as the reason for the acts of sociopaths such as Stalin. That's clearly false but it's a tactic used by religious extremists who have a need to promote their hate.

Any fair tallying of the numbers killed by Stalin and 20th century Marxists will put your communist-Marxist ideology in the running for really "evil" category! However, Marxism, which defines a political ideology, was the prime motivator for Lenin, Stalin Mao and Pol Pot. Atheism was not a motivating factor in their atrocities.

On the other hand, Christian religious extremists will refuse to acknowledge or accept the atrocities committed by their religion was directly related to the goal of spreading the religion, typically resulting in atrocities related to converting the heathen.

Any comparison of the death toll resulting from the 20th century's Marxist sociopaths vs.religion's assault on humanity will show that Christianity has been very effective at killing.

As for Christianity, it has been the impetus for wars, aggression, infliction of human suffering and suppression of knowledge and learning. The Christian church literally held back humanity for 800 years during the Dark Ages. Not too many astronomers being tortured or burned at the stake for predicting the path of the earth around the sun these days.

It was practicing Catholics, the Conquistadors, who baptized the heathen South American Indian babies before bashing their heads on the rocks and drowning them to " send them to a better place".

Atheism is not a belief system. Yours is an attempt, common among religious extremists to equate atheism as some sort of belief.

Atheism is a conclusion.

I think you need to provide an example of something you call an atheist religion. Can you identify any of the rituals, customs, practices or places of worship for this atheist religion you claim exists? Is there a specific day when atheists gather to hold religious services, to pray to an atheist god? Do you see the absurdity in the notion of an atheist god? What is the holy book of atheism? Is there a holy city of atheism where atheists congregate? Is there a pyramidal authority structure associated with atheism where those at the top of the pyramid wear big, funny hats?

He advocates the importance of God in society, using reason, history and science to expose what he believes are atheists’ flawed philosophies. His book Atheism Kills:The Dangers of a World Without God – and Cause for Hopeis out now

- so much for christianity ... germany or anywhere else they reside.

A plebiscite vote was held on August 19, 1934 that brought Hitler a 90 percent majority. He was now, for all intents and purposes, dictator.

- no different than the jews and israel - religious zealots. by vast majority.

the desert religions are all the same, not a heavenly thread to be found in any of them.

"Which god" is the same as "which bible".

If there WAS only ONE god, then there would only be ONE bible.

Since there are THOUSANDS of gods and THOUSANDS of different bibles to go along with all the different gods, then there is no "ONE GOD".
In fact, there still hasn't been ANY proof of ANY god.

Just one God, the God of the Bible.

Of course, history is littered with other gods, pagan gods, that have long since died off.

Exceptions to the rule here is Hinduism and the continued pagan cults of such things as mother earth, etc..

That is about it.

Yep....when people say there are a lot of different gods.....yeah? There are a many answers to 2 + 2 = 4, but only one right answer.........the God of the Jews and Christians is the one for me...

Clearly you have a reprobate mind and God has given up on you........cast you away to the confines of your own fate. You attempt to blame God for man's Lawlessness? And you say you don't believe, yet you are forced to access the word of God in order to attempt to prove some mistranslated doctrine? Funny indeed. You are responsible........no one else. Man up.

I simply presented the Truth as its found in scripture
1. Sin is defined by God as being "lawless" -- 1 John 3:4 (there was only ONE law when Adam allowed sin to enter the world by becoming the first "lawless human being", do not eat of the tree of knowledge or you will surely die..........Sin is not defined by one's ignoracne or intelligence (it was the tree of knowledge that made Adam and Eve aware of good and evil, it gave the knowledge to know both good and evil) -- Genesis 3:22)

When man had eaten of the tree knowledge God had to ban them from the Garden He had created for them to live in while in innonence....why? Because the "tree of life" which would grant "immorality" to the flesh existed in the Garden of Eden. As explained in vs 22, "........now least he put forth his hand (Adam) and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever."

Thus sin entered the world through one man's sin/lawlessness (Romans 5:12-21). Adams sin was allowing his wife to guide his free will decisions when he was responsible to guide and protect his wife as head of the household/family (1 Tim. 2:13-14)

Sin originated in the heart of Adam when he broke the law of God, and then lied to God in shame (shame that he did not know he had until he had eaten from the tree of knowledge). He lied to God and attempted to blame Eve for his sin, when in reality he knew and comprehended the ONE LAW, yet he practiced lawlessness through a free will choice. (Genesis 3:12)

Adam did not have know good from evil to obey this one law. What? Do you think its evil to eat the product of what a bearing tree produces? Anyone can sin (commit lawlessness) without engaging in an act of evil......there are sins of omission as well as sins of comission. The law simply defines sin.......it does not define good and evil. What one might consider evil for a man (killing and canniablism).......is not considered evil at all in the animal kingdom as there is no morality found in nature.

Which begs to ask. Just where do you receive your opinions as to what consitutes evil and what constitutes good.......those traits could not have evolved because morality does not exist in nature? Reality; Religion is where morality was gestated. Abortion? Funny...ain't it. All those who attempt to rationalize abortion as anything but the killing of an innocent gestating human life.....HAVE ALREADY BEEN BORN. :abgg2q.jpg:

What about Abortion? You present the opinion that Abortion is not evil? Yet God defines the spilling of innocent blood as an Abomination (Prov. 6:16-19).........now, can you explain how an unborn child has no blood flowing through its gestating flesh? Uniqure blood with it own DNA signature, different and unique as the only ONE IN THE WORLD......even different from either parent. To sin........one must enage in lawlessness. Explain how an unborn child is charged with lawlessness of any type might alone found guilty of any lawlessness....the unborn should be allowed the same right as those already born, a right to live once created. Creation begins at conception.

God in no different from the O.T to the N.T. The record found in the O.T is a historical record of one nation, a nation that God husbanded.......meaning the O.T. law was for 1 nation only, not any other nation on earth. That One Nation was Biblical Israel who was bound to live and die by the Law of Moses........by the letter of the law. This record contains the Good, the Bad, and Ugly, there is no skeleton left for discovery in some hidden closet.........God inspired the whole record to print, simply because there is a record does not mean that God endorsed or agreed with everything recorded. God did declare that the Old Law (written on stone) would come to an end........it was only temporary and would be replaced by a New Law......or a N.T. covenant, one written on the heart of the faithful instead of on stone (Jer. 31:31-34).....and this New Covenant would include the entire world, not just Israel.

Its YOUR IGNORANCE in not even attempting to search for truth yourself.......that makes you think that God has Changed when in reality..........only the Law has changed in order to conclude the entire world (all of humanity). God had a plan all along to fulifll His promises made to Abraham...........to BLESS ALL NATIONS by the seed of Abraham. (Gen. 12:1-4).

Even though the O.T. was inspired by the same God, the same Holy Spirit........it defines a God-given rule of law expressly for only one nation on earth.......none other, no gentile has ever been bound by O.T. law (Deut. 5:2-3, Neh. 9:13-14) Only Biblical Israel. The O.T. law had a purpose and design by God. It was a law guiding and controlling Biblical Israel until the "Messiah" would come and fulfill the promise made to Abraham and with the coming Messiah there was a changing of the law from Law written on Stone (literal) to law written on the hearts of the faithful (spiritual).....a Law of Grace where the Messiah would become sin Himself (1 Cor. 5:21), even though He would come to earth as the Son of Man........born of a woman, born under the law, yet without sin.........Jesus became sin and made the perfect sacrifice......he died for all mankind. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son......(John 3:16). The sacrifice of Jesus, the Son of God.......mirrored the sacifice God asked of Abraham (to sacrifice his son) to prove his faith to God. God stayed his hand when his faith was demonstrated...........yet, God allowed the sin of the world to come upon His only begotten son to the point of death. God demonstrated His faith toward mankind and His love.........in the hope that all men might be saved by coming to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Tim. 2:3-4)
