Where is the women in combat?

Women in combat is a bad idea.

Unfortunately, that is not considered a good argument in modern times of political correctness trumps common sense.

Every woman who dies in a war is also the death of all her unborn children. The death of a man is the death of the sperm in his nutsack. We cannot afford to lose millions of women if there is ever an all-out war. We can easily bounce back from the death of millions of men, but not the death of millions of women.

Marines congratulate first female infantry officer graduate

After multiple failed candidates, the Marines finally have ONE female Marine infantry officer.

Well, I hope all the bother was worth it.

She will have to order some lowly private to carry her backpack, of course, and if one of her men gets shot next to her, she will not be able to carry him to safety.

But hey, political correctness is way more important than military concerns like winning battles.

Uh, the link you posted has a video of her carrying another soldier. My guess is it's part of the training. EPIC FAIL?
They found ONE woman who could do this. Congratulations. My prediction is she will break her back eventually, and then they will have to discharge her.

I don't care for women in combat roles either. But I'm not going to actively campaign against it. If the marines say she's ready, then she's ready. I am thankful for her service.

What a logical fallacy:

YOU DON'T KNOW if that woman will ever even have any kids!
For all you know, her child could be the next Hitler!
We already have way too many people anyway!
A woman can't have a child without a man.
A man stands a greater chance of being a general, a CEO, or some position of great importance and contribution! That isn't sexism, it is HISTORY and BIOLOGY.

Your assertion that women are more valuable and irreplaceable than guys is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. Men are there in combat because they are better suited to be fighters, women are in combat because some Lib has this crazy notion they are out to prove men and women are EQUAL. Now here you come along stating the EXACT OPPOSITE!!! Any fool can come along and see a guy and a girl are about as different as night and day, right down to their moods, interests and attitudes.

What makes you think she wouldn't be able to carry him to safety? The Marines don't have 300 tubs of lard.

Women can't carry a fully-loaded backpack and can't carry wounded men to safety. This much is known.

Also, women are less likely to endure the stress of combat because they are more emotional than men.

Also, women create fiction within a combat unit because of the sex issue.
"Women can't carry a fully-loaded backpack and can't carry wounded men to safety. This much is known." By whom? Misogynist men stuck in the 1930s?

And "more emotional than men"?   Seen all the men crying over people kneeling for the Anthem?

That should be "Where are the women in combat?"

Says the decorated combat veteran?
He's correcting grammar.......psssst.....teacher....it's in their blood.

Women in combat is a bad idea.

Of course, that argument doesn't work in our modern world, all that matters is political correctness.

So many men and women will die unnecessarily so that women can be in combat positions.
Prove that "so many men and women will die unnecessarily so that women can be in combat positions". You just don't like that women are learning the art of war.

Women don't HAVE to carry a 70lb pack and shoot 'you' in the face with an M-16 to kill our enemies. They can still be in combat and kill a lot more with the press of a button as they fly overhead.. keeping the guys - and gals - on the ground safe.

You really don't know much about women, do you?

Holy crap! You've gone off the rails! Talk about "The Maiden's Tale" material...........

Women certainly can pass the training critera and carry backpacks and wounded. They just can't do it for long. Their tendons and joints break down sooner than a man's under the same conditions.

139 Female Soldiers Have Died in Iraq and Afghanistan -- More than 800 female service members have been wounded

1000 women, give or take, wounded or killed because mommy gave them a GI JOE instead of a Barbie. I wonder if those parents might now want to go back and fix their mistake

I don't buy it that women can't handle combat. If properly trained, a bitchy woman can kill WAY more people than a man.

I have been married for 15 years.....I know.

I've been married 44 years and I can attest to that. If she can't beat me to death she can just drive me somewhere in a car and the ride will scare me to death.

I would guess and this is strictly opinion - that a high percentage of the girls killed grew up watching Xena the princess warrior, wonder woman or batgirl ... I would also venture to speculate that a equal percentage never thought they would be put into a combat situation. .... If you wanna play with the boys - draw equal pay and extract equal valor there's a price to pay.
