This is what they were told. It is unlike you to set up so naive a hypothetical scenario. Of course the guards would not allow visitors to see such a sight. And it probably never happened at all. The issue is that instead of compassion, the detainees were told to get their water from a toilet. Much like me saying to someone looking to me for aid to 'eat shit and die!'
