Date June 23, 2026. Where do the appeal(s) on Trump's Felony Conviction(s) stand as of now? Didn't he exhaust his appeals in the state court system?

Thinking of Jack Smith and his testimony before the GOP/MGA led House.

We have Senate Democrats demanding "'Correct the record': Judge Cannon 'made a number of errors' and 'inappropriate' accusations while burying Jack Smith's report, appeals court told"

We have former Special counsel Jack Smith saying his final report contains enough evidence to convict Trump.

We have Trump's Judge Cannon facing fresh appellate review of her pro-Trump actions on Jack Smith report. Which has "At stake is the release, and possible destruction, of Smith’s classified documents report, which the Trump-appointed judge has been helping to keep under wraps (Feb. 10, 2026).

We have February 9, 2026 - American Oversight Appeals Judge Cannon Order That Could Clear Way for Permanent Destruction of Jack Smith Report. They say: We also filed an expedited motion to prevent Cannon from granting Trump, co-conspirators’ requests to keep public in dark.

Much of this is because Trump's Judge Cannon permanently blocked release of the second part of Jack Smith's report (The Trump-appointed judge said releasing the classified docs report now would “contravene basic notions of fairness and justice.”) - the part Jack Smith says has enough evidence to have convicted DJT

Donald Trump is actively appealing his May 2024 New York felony conviction in two parallel legal tracks. Both his state appeal and his attempt to move the case to federal court remain active as his legal team seeks to have the hush-money conviction and his status as a convicted felon erased. [1, 2, 3]

1. New York State Appeal
Trump formally filed a 96-page brief with the New York Appellate Division's First Department to overturn his conviction of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
His defense is arguing for the verdict to be thrown out based on: [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Presidential Immunity: His attorneys argue the trial court wrongly permitted the jury to hear evidence of "official presidential acts," which they claim is barred by the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling. [1]
  • Judicial Recusal: They continue to target the trial judge, Juan Merchan, claiming his impartiality was compromised by his daughter's political consulting work and minor donations to Democratic causes. [1]
  • Flawed Prosecution: His team asserts that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg improperly elevated time-barred misdemeanors into felonies using a "convoluted" and unprecedented legal theory. [1]

2. Federal Transfer and Immunity Effort
Separately, Trump's lawyers are fighting to move the state case into federal court, hoping it will provide a direct path to dismiss the charges on presidential immunity grounds. After a federal judge initially denied his attempt to transfer the case, he took his arguments to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Current Status and Penalties
Trump avoided active jail time or fines, as Justice Merchan sentenced him to an unconditional discharge. However, the felony record remains on the books. Both the state appellate court and the federal judiciary are actively considering these challenges, with either track capable of reversing the verdict. I believe all charges on DJT were determined to be fake charges. democrats are lining up to get in that basket of deplorables with the hostess Crooked Hillary.

Actually President Trump's legal determination to be a sexual abuser and liable against E. Jean Carrol remain valid and are on appeal.

In addition President Trumps criminal conviction of 34 felonds remains valid and are currently on appeal.

No court has determined either is "fake".
