A nationwide healthcare fraud crackdown resulted in charges against 455 defendants accused of schemes involving more than $6.5 billion in fraudulent claims, marking what federal officials on Tuesday described as the largest coordinated healthcare fraud enforcement action in Justice Department history.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., FBI Director Kash Patel, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Mehmet Oz announced the operation, which spanned 57 federal districts across 41 states and territories and included charges against 90 licensed medical professionals.

Trump administration officials said the defendants are accused of participating in a wide range of healthcare fraud schemes involving Medicare, Medicaid, telemedicine, hospice care, wound grafts, and opioid distribution. Authorities also seized more than $127 million in cash, luxury vehicles, jewelry, and other assets.

“In just 14 days, 455 defendants have been charged across the country for schemes involving over $6.5 billion in fraud,” Criminal Division chief Colin McDonald said....

I'm not surprised.....I figured once things got going good the fraud would be easy to trace.

I'll bet that this is still only scratching the surface.

The Democrats have had two decades of this shit.

Every state this happened in should have grant funds withheld until it's recouped.

Really, you think your fellow Americans should be cut off from the money they're entitled to as Americans because somebody committed fraud?

Yep, them Red States are crime free-YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-HAW!

The Mississippi TANF Misappropriation: A major scandal involving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funding came to a head. The federal government confirmed that at least $77 million in state welfare money meant for impoverished families was illegally funneled into pet projects. This included funding a university volleyball stadium and arranging a $1 million public speaking contract for a celebrity athlete. In early 2025, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) formally demanded Mississippi repay $101 million in misspent welfare funds. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Something wrong with this picture.

"Authorities also seized more than $127 million in cash, luxury vehicles, jewelry, and other assets?" Only $127 million?

OKAY. Sounded familiar. Wait for it.....................................................

Federal authorities seized the assets after an Irvine, California couple who operated precious metals businesses in downtown L.A.'s Jewelry District pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy charges. The couple admitted to concealing more than $127 million in cash transactions and failing to establish an anti-money laundering program.

Have places like the Washington Examiner been playing mouthpiece for MAGA White House misinfo? Then We have:

450 (not 455) people charged in a massive $6.5 billion healthcare fraud crackdown. The DOJ says it's the biggest healthcare fraud takedown in U.S. history, with cases stretching across 41 states and territories. One of the wildest cases involves a California hospice owner accused of enrolling people who weren't terminally ill and even billing Medicare for some patients after they had already died.

Authorities say they've seized more than $127 million in cash, luxury cars, jewelry and other assets.if your business model involves scamming sick people and dead people, your retirement plan is probably federal prison.Source: WSJ / Writer: Daniyal

Believe it or not. The amount here is not much in comparison to a typical year. For instance, GlaxoSmithKline paid three billion in fines in 2012. Columbia HCA, 1.7 billion dollar fine in 2003. The CEO at the time, Rick Scott, now a senator representing Florida. Kaiser Permanente, 556 million settlement early.

The blob is too busy committing fraud to prosecute people for fraud.
Neat story. I still remember when liberals applied abstract thinking to such things as art. Today they apply abstract thinking for making stuff up. Take a wild guess which era of liberals were superior and useful.

All liberals >1990ish Liberals

Retards > 2010s Liberals

Decay, without the rewards of fertilizer > 2020s Liberals
