DACA was an exec order. It got bruised in the courts and sent back for Congress to act on. Same with this deal. It got damaged in the courts. The courts said there needed to be actual law. Exec action adds too much uncertainty and instability to operate a massive Fed Govt.

You already have Congress NOT WRITING law -- but directing the AGENCIES to make law and they can take over a DECADE with edicts and retractions and changes. Nope.. In the effort to be humane to children held in detention, a court order under the Obama Admin which they DID NOT contest, required a limit on time ANY illegal juvenile spent in detention.

Obama had over 150,000 PARENT-LESS children mob the border in the span of 3 years after DACA was promoted.. Over 100,000 were warehoused for more than a year in abandoned gyms, army barracks. Obama even contracted with private PRISONS to take them. That caused a change in Obama policy to STEM this invasion. Because the US is NOT an adoption agency and Uncle Sam is a VERY POOR foster parent.

You've seen the cages. They were THERE for the 100,000 Central Amer kids under Obama. This AINT a new issue.
