Zone1 when Jehova's witnesses come to your door, what do you do?

If peeping out the curtain proves beyond a doubt that they are soliciting religion, I either don't open the door....or if I do open the door, I will usually tell them politely but firmly we aren't interested in that, thanks. And just proceed to slowly close the door allowing for an amicable adieu if they wish. If not, oh well.

A long time ago, I believe it was the late 1970's, a couple witnesses came to our door. I was alone, and I let them in. I listened to them and took their literature. They were very polite and dressed in shirts and ties. And this was in Arizona in the summer I believe! I can't recall if I offered them something to drink.

I talk to anyone. Last time they were here is just weeks ago. I also talked to Mormons when they were in town and they gave me their book.

I've never had Mormon missionaries call, although a lot of JW's over the years.

But of course I lived in a rough area for many a moon, and a couple of LDS teens probably would have felt like fish out of water.

I haven't had the same pair come by for many years, but years ago the "Kingdom" (as I believe they call their church) had the two best looking members, one man and one woman, he white, she black, come by and they presented themselves very well, dressed very nicely. I gave them professional courtesy and listened to their spiel. I guess that's why they came back every now and then. I read the pamphlet they gave me and those beliefs made me very uncomfortable just reading them. I don't know how you go from normal to believing any of that.

We recently had two young Mormons Justin just pants white shirts and ties show up at our door asking if we knew where they could find a certain individual that lives in the neighborhood. I told them we didn't know even though I did have an idea. But I thought that was kind of weird that they knew who they were looking for but didn't know where they l lived, and that individual had apparently recently turned 18. 🤔

Mormons are very different from the Jehovah witnesses. They believe that 144,000 get to heaven. Mormons teach millions go to heaven.
LDS teaches that everyone goes to Heaven. there are 3 levels and depending on your actions and beliefs determines which level you go to

do you let them in and discuss with them?

do you tell them you are not interested?

or sth else?

i usually let them in
They ususally respond well to "get lost" but when they don't there's always the garden hose.

I don't let strangers into my house. I will speak with them though and take their watchtowers.

The Jehovah's finally found me a while ago

I invited them to sit my porch and have a biblical chat

Having been raised a good Christian lad, i still remember scripture

But methinks i wore 'em out a tad......and they never returned! 😔.....~S~

I start reading some of my posts from USMB
