3. Build trade schools in inner cities that teach things like welding, auto maintenance, office & tech skills. The schools could be funded by both private and public funding via non profit organizations, churches & local taxes/grants.

4. Teach political science & civics in schools rather than social engineering bullshit. Let's create intelligent & informed voters rather than recreational outrage mobs.

5. Stop ignoring the failures of the politicians that run these cities. At some point you have to realize they are ignoring YOU in order to serve the interests of those with money.

Depending on where you live, it is more about who is willing to give up power. So, this was a successful experiment in budgetary power that went well in Chicago's 5th ward.

For juveniles, they commit crime more often between 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm---after school. There was a work program that worked well in Chicago. I think this is key for a couple of reasons. After school programs or sports are great except no one has the money to put their kids in them.

Chicago has a bigger problem. The Annie E. Casey Foundation became involved in criminal justice reform. One of their pilot sites was in Chicago. They don't want any of the kids detained. Same issue in Baltimore. This is on top of releasing adults with gun charges left and right.
