Only 40 miles out from cities, my taxes are lower, gas is cheaper, housing cheaper, and the only crime is occasional minor property theft.
We don't even have a dedicated police department and rely on the county Sherriff.

One suburb was started by people fleeing a small metro area but still in a solid red area, and when the city folks started building houses in there with them, started talking HOA mess and whatnot, and it was kind of stupid.

95% of the state hasn't seen ICE, or protesters. I was in south Mpls yesterday for a job and saw nothing only a half mile from the War Zone. Totally uneventful.

When Obama took office only 11million people were on food stamps. Within a few years we had 42million on food stamps.
