It was perfectly safe as President Trump dispensed with the shaking of greasy hands and kissing of ugly babies. Further, the President had the people sign an agreement that they wouldn't get sick from the rally.

This was chess and US used there advantage with allies to take control.

Trump never understood this, he can only see transactionally not with alliances and sharing common ground with allies. His stance is not anti globalism as there just as much trade going on, just US has less control of it... US can't give favourable trading conditions to allies while putting the squeeze on China.

Bullshit. Politicians like Joe Biden sold this country out to China for the last 40+ years. Most of our manufacturing jobs gone and now everything is made in China.

President Trump got us out of those lame trade deals. He’s slapped tariffs on China. Our trade deficit with China has dropped 20%. He brought back half a million manufacturing jobs back to the US. That is not “selling out to China”.

Read my post.. It is painful truth but Trump basically handed China a massive win on day 3 of his Presidency.... i know this is hard to take but Bush Jr. & Obama administrations had basically put in a deal that would have kept China in check for generations...

As for trade deficit... Trade just reduced by 20%

It dropped a bit towards the end of 2019 but still higher than Obama left it...

China has just exported to other countries and imported through them anyway. They saw the trade war coming...

As for jobs:

This would have moved a large chunk of manufacturing away from China to the US or US trading partners who have far more favourable trading arrangements with US (i.e. they have to give US workers rights, health and safety, unions, environmental standards, human rights....) and also US get full access to there market too...
