What's With All The Conservative Russia and Putin Lovers On This Message Board?

Thank you. I wasn't sure how you would feel about me opening up this thread for answers after you closed the last one. The problem is though Trump doesn't embrace Putin or Russia. The only reason that he was friends with Putin is because a friend can't attack you. Well he or she could but then they wouldn't be a friend anymore. Trump knew this so he used this strategy to keep us out of war.

That was sort of my take as well. I remebered Democrats warning, that if Trump became president, he would act unstable and get us into a war with Russia, China or North Korea. When he actually did the opposite, he was then criticized for being too friendly, granted, he did tarriff China. I always took the flattering verbage from Trump as simply a way to sooth big egos of these dictators, which makes sense if you then want to negotiate later.

Russia wants a buffer zone between its territory and the territory of NATO.

Our side didn't take that into account and now we have a war.

There is more important question. Why so called "liberals" so meekly follow any bullshit orders, love everything that was said them to love and hate everything that was said them to hate? Why they cultivate this intellectual slavery, and why it's so surprising for them, that other people may have different opinions?
I think you are right but only because the ruling politicians support them. Had they (and they have) supported the other side the outcome would be the same. Capitalism, Socialism, Communism, and (Fascism maybe?) have their positive points but when they get free reign that's when treachery begins.

Thats just about it, but when the Reich and Nato kept pushing they knew it would end in War, what they didn't figure was Russia would win it, now reality has smacked them in the face like a wet Kipper.

I just have to know because it really shocked me to hear a lot of the responses to the thread that was closed about loving Russia and despising the US.

Can somebody please explain this to me because there are an awful lot of you that usually I agree with and respect but I just don't understand why everybody was acting like that. True patriots anyways. The American haters on the left I don't even care about.

If you find the magic formula for working out a Lefty's mind, let me know because they would even stab their own mother in the back if it means getting one up on Trump.

I know that, but mostly I wasn't talking about lefties.

I'm not sure what you're talking about here as I haven't seen what you are describing. I don't know a soul who loves Putin or condones what he has done/is doing.

I do think some wisely understand some of the political dynamics involved re Putin's concern about the Ukraine joining NATO. Whether valid or not Russia historically has been paranoid and suspicious of Western expansion since the 1700s. Politically it makes sense not to unnecessarily provoke a paranoid and insecure nation ranked #2 in the world militarily.

And even though the Ukraine is the victim in the current conflict, the fact remains that the conflict is between the two most corrupt nations in Europe. I don't think Russia should be allowed to annex the Ukraine against their will with impunity but it was U.S. weakness I believe that resulted in that. Once Obama and the EU allowed Russia to annex Crimea with no serious repercussions in 2014, Putin was emboldened to again expand his empire. He chose not to do so under President Trump who he knew would not be weak and indecisive. But when Biden gave him a perceived green light by waiving U.S. restrictions on the Nord Stream pipeline indicating leniency in our dealings with Russia, a second invasion of the Ukraine was pretty much inevitable.
