I've talked to people in four different countries and never found one who did not like and admire President Obama - especially for literally saving the world's financial system and therefore, many country's economies.

When the English parliament debates helping us the pm has to assure them this isnt like 2003.

I work at in engineering department of a global company with between two and three billion in revenue every year. We have many joint projects with companies from all over the world. I tend not to travel. They come here. I've had dinner and discussed politics with people from China, the Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Brazil, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and several other countries. Oh, and Arabia and Russia.

All of them, every single one, thinks the GOP is a kook party. They don't understand how or why Americans keep voting for them. Right away, you guys are going to scream liar. It's not true. But think about it. If you were a foreign engineer and you went to a country where one political party brought down the world economy. Invaded the wrong country. Thinks the best educational institutions in the world are the worst. Worship. stupidity. Thinks trickle down is a viable economic policy. Wants to keep the majority of the country from health care. Doesn't believe in science. And all the other Kook and Krazy and Krappy ideas the GOP offers, why would you admire them? For most people, failure is not a goal. It's something to be avoided.

Even you guys here on the USMB can't name a single GOP policy in the last 40 or 50 years that has been good for a majority of Americans. How many times have I asked that question? I've lost count. How many times have you answered it? There is no count. And believe me, everyone knows Republicans stopped looking for Bin Laden and let him go. They just don't understand why. Which is something I can't answer either.

My brother is a rich VP living in Switzerland. He use to get it but now argues with me when we talk politics but all he does is brag about how well paid everyone in switzerland and germany is and how great those country have it.

He chooses to see it the top 1%s way IMO. I don't argue with him too much. For one he just cries communism and socialism and second at least he's voting for the right party economically. I never call a rich person stupid for voting GOP. Just greedy for trying to rig the rules in their favor.

But hey if dumb middle class and poor people.vote with my brother or don't vote and his way wins then I guess we get what we deserve.

Foreign policy isn't my job.
But I'd support a plan that,at the very least,called the enemy what they are and went after them with the goal of eliminating the cockroaches.
I'd support The Obama if that was his plan but it obviously isn't
