What would you do in a situation like this?

If I were to have a party, everyone would be invited, but I would make each invited person well aware of whatever rules were going to be in place during the party hours and if the rules can't be respected, they are not allowed to attend.

God bless you always!!!

The way parents raise their kids should be a parent's choice. They'll thank them later on in their lives.

I wish my parents had been more attentive of who I was hanging out with and what I was doing.

It is a hard thing... it seems we have an example of two kinds of parents on the opposite end of the spectrum.
Mother #1 - the non inviter. Ok that is a bit over protective and naïve towards her son. How much do you want to bet they were both watching porn on her son's phone? And if both kids are vaping, who is to say that it is HER son that introduced the other boy? This is an example of a parent believing their child is as innocent as Jesus Christ himself and blaming everything on the other son.
Mother #2 - The woman seems a bit "kids will be kids" and doesn't apply rules much. If another parent had called me and was saying my son did these things, I would be apologetic and tell them I will talk to him right now. And would.

It is an unfortunate situation made worse by two not so awesome parents that are on the opposite ends.

Swartz did it!

^^^ I respectfully disagree, especially when that kid only added lying about a friend to his list of wrongdoings. To me, Ernest Saves Christmas is the best of the Christmas films. :) :) :)

God bless you always!!!

P.S. My only question is why was that boy afraid to tell his mom that he learned the bad language from his dad and why was he scared about his dad getting wind of what he later on did in self-defense? I believe that his dad would've proud of him for being brave enough to beat on the neighborhood bully because that little crap apparently went after all of the other kids in the area. When the beating was going on, they all cheered for Ralphie. :) :) :)
