OKI figured we could start a thread to discuss the facts about the spy balloon with the Chinese sent over the US.

Reply let's start with the Chinese claim about it.
According to China the balloon was a weather balloon, Or at least that the balloon is used mostly for weather related operations. They claim that the balloon fell under a treaty which the US and China are both party too, Which allows nations to send Balloons with payloads under a certain weight waste into the airspace of other countries for the sole purpose of Recording data involving weather. And They are currently attempting to bring the United States to International court for violation of this treaty pursuiting down the balloon.

There are A few issues with this
The 1st issue is that the payload of the balloon in question was far greater than what is allowed under that Treaty. The 2nd is that The official statements by the Chinese government say that the balloon was used "Mostly" poor weather related operations and The treaty only Is covers balloons that are you solely for weather operations.
So either way the balloon is not covered by that the US was within its legal authority to shoot it down.

The official statements by the United States government is that the balloon, s payload Was designed to take video and still pictures of High security areas of the United States and was part of a Chinese espionage operation. And constituted a Violation by the Chinese government of us sovereignty.

Somehow I doubt such a weather balloon wouldn’t have a transponder on it, if it was permitted by treaty. Or were we that dumb to allow such things without transponders so we could track them?

China is lying, they always do this.
Then, they need to find a way to fight back, because, these people are career politicians in a way that doesn't even exist in the US, so they've said this:

"China says US balloons breached airspace at least 10 times"

And to prove it... the said... ""If you want to know more about US high-altitude balloons illegally entering China's airspace, I suggest you refer to the US side," he said."

Which sounds good to a Chinese nationalist, but to everyone else it reads "fucking retards" and rolling on the floor laughing.

Sounds right .
After the fiasco with the first weather balloon the Piss Pants Gang resorted to sending up old balloons to try and support a changed narrative .

Puppet Piss Pants now looks an even bigger sad buffoon and the rest of the world watch open mouthed yet again .
