No war, including WW2, was fought for our freedoms since the Revolutionary War.
I agree with this, if we define "our" as white citizens of the USA.
However, if we mean "our" as blacks or citizens of Democratic Nations....even including the French, then I'd include the Civil War (although I know, I know.....only SOME people fought for, or against, the freedom of slaves, but then you could also argue that only SOME people fought the British for "our" freedoms), as well as WWII, and Iraq.
