Personally, I don't care if they ARE fleeing oppression.

WE get to say who comes in and who does not.

Even if it means withdrawing from a Treat or two, or one or more provisions WITHIN a given treaty.

We need to conjure-up a List of Oppressive Countries.

If you do not come from one of those you cannot claim asylum.

And if you DO claim asylum you get held for weeks or months until your story is checked out.

Asylum seekers ARE NOT violating our immigration laws....they legally have a right to seek asylum in the USA from what I have read on it? Of course there are requirements to meet to qualify for asylum, so not all people crossing the border meet those requirements, and should be, according to the rules, deported back to their home country the same day, after their interviews with border agents.

Near me, the illegals are turning down $25 an hour, cash. That is equivalent to a $60,000 a year salary once you consider they aren’t contributing to the federal government - pretty damn good for a high school drop out that doesn’t even speak English - and it’s not good enough for them.
