There was never any question about whether every single person who attended Trump's Klan rally was responsible for and/or participated in the failed coup/insurrection.
We KNOW that most people there didn't even understand why exactly they were even there.
They were just partying in ignorant, misinformed, redneck bliss with their fellow MAGAt klansmen and women.
Even the official Jan. 6th Committee hearings showed us that.
Those people were not the problem.
It was the people who had been so radicalized by Trump's lies about a stolen election and the need to "take back their country" that were the problem.
The people so radicalized that they would bust through police baricades and assault officers with bear spray and whatever else they could find. Then after breaching the (lawful) police barricades these violent radicals proceeded (illegally) to The Capitol where they damaged property and threatened legislators with physical harm for doing their constitutional duty.
At the point where the police barricades were breached everybody on the other side of that barricade, "peaceful" or not is now breaking the law.
This makes them criminals.
ALL of them.
Tucker can gaslight America all he wants with countless hours of footage of the "peaceful" crowds but it doesn't change things like the testimonies of radicalized Proud Boys who are on record saying their actions that day was "commanded" by Trump.
Sure, he may not have ever actually said the words "storm The Capitol and prevent Congress from certifying Joe Biden as 5ge actual and legitimate winner of the election, raise as much hell as possible, break, burn, and loot as much shit as you can, and while you're at it find Mike Pence and Nany Pelosi and beat them to a bloody pulp for being the traitors that they are."
He never actually SAID it, but there had been enough dog whistles to this effect that radicals like The Proud Boys knew exactly what their "orders" were that day.
None of that has EVER been in doubt after The January 7th Committee's hearings.
And Tucker's alternate facts don't change the original facts.
It doesn't work like that.
It was very interesting to watch Tucker accidently let the truth slip out in his night 2 segment when he aired the interview with disgraced and disgruntled ex Capitol Police officer Tarik Johnson.
Johnson's testimony COMPLETELY blew Tucker's "peaceful protest" theory out of the water.
In the interview he states that someone else put a red MAGAt cap on his head and he decided to leave it on for safety so that the hostile and dangerous crowd would not harm him.
That's a big "OOPS" for Tucker huh?
Johnson, whose role was to evacuate lawmakers safely, urged for guidance from his superiors but did not hear back. So he took matters into his own hands that day, as seen by footage released by "Tucker Carlson Tonight" from inside the Capitol Building.
However, his career came to a screeching halt after he was spotted outside the Capitol wearing a Make America Great Again hat, which received national attention.
Johnson, a Biden voter, said a Trump supporter placed the MAGA hat on his head. He decided to keep wearing it for self-preservation as he navigated the pro-Trump crowd outside. Johnson was put on an indefinite suspension for doing so and later resigned and lost his pension.
"I couldn't say what would have happened walking through that crowd without it," Johnson said.
In an exclusive interview with Tucker Carlson, former Capitol Police officer Tarik Johnson said law enforcement was not prepared for the events of Jan. 6.
